Justice League official "Zack Snyder" cut on HBO Max

Oa is at the canter of the universe. Maybe the Center of the multiverse?

Could have used a few more lines to explain that plot hole.

Oa is the centre of the known universe, or at least the centre of the known universe 4 billion years ago, but after four billion years of mapping its probably not exactly right smack in the centre any more, although if that was true, then there would always be more green lantern sectors, unless all 3600 sectors get a little bigger, get gerrymandered every time the guardians publish a new star atlas...

In Star Trek Earth is the Center of the universe. Sector 001. Its because of where the map makers started mapping, rather than Earth actually being the centre of the universe.

The third world ended when the God World blew up. Like a cracked egg half the God Planet was New Genesis, and the other half was Apocalips. The new universe, the Fourth World sprang fourth from the Third World's exploding Godworld.

How close are New Genesis and Apocolips?

If they were made by the big bang, the detonation of the God Planet, then yes, very briefly 18 billion years ago both new planets were there at the the center of the universe, but forces threw them both far far away, long long ago from the creation point.

Maybe that's what the fire pit is for?

Darksied is trying to take Apicolips back to the origin point of the Universe, but High Father is not?

I watched this last night and thought it was great the entire way through. It exceeded my expectations anyway. I was expecting some eye rolling moments, but there were none really. I didn't quite get the ending, and what point they were trying to make, but whatever. Doesn't take away from the film at all. Sure looks to be wide open for another.

The ending is just a future scene that would have been explained better in a sequel. It was mainly added here to just give Batman and Joker a scene together

I just assumed that when Darkseid was severely wounded is when Steppenwolf betrayed him back home. With the ensuing power struggle, and general in-fighting, on Apokolips it doesn't seem too unreasonable to see how stuff can fall by the wayside. As to why they cancelled New Gods, a lot of what they've said doesn't add up:

The third Justice League film was to be the crapsack future seen in BvS and JL's dream sequences.

Wasn't the 2nd film meant to be in the Knightmare future and the 3rd film would be set back in the past/present where Darkseid arrives.
But WB cut that down to two films so there might have been some things that were cut.
The 3 film plan was basically the first film which was the same, the second film was them taking the fight to Darkseid and getting the asses handed to them, Darkseid levels earth. The third film was set in the future.

If you want a example on how the second film might have played out, I recommend watching Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War

How exactly did Darkseid get to Earth thousands of years ago with his fleet and then they forgot how to get back?

Do they have some kind of huge random portal thing like on Sliders that just spits them out to a random point and then once it closes they can't actually return nor do they know the exact location of where they were?

Shame they cancelled the New Gods movie. I wanted to know more about Darkseid and how he “lost” Earth.
I don't think the movie was going to do that, they started working on the movie after they had moved away from Snyder's version of the DCEU. And the fact that they brought in Tom King to co-write it is evidence that they were going to go with something closer to the comics, and were probably going to take a least some influence from his Mister Miracle series.
