Jetfire in Transformers 2?

Jetfire

I saw some art work, will Jetfire be a SR-71 Blackbird...will he be a decepticon??? Help!? I can't wait to see this one...the first was a rather dull.

In the G1 cartoon he was a Decepticon, then an Autobot.

Same as the US G1 comic, though he was more of a sparkless automoton under Shockwave's control. After Prime gave him life with the Creation Matrix he was quickly Branded as an Autobot.

Apparently he's a Decepticon and found in a museum. He's shoddily treated because he's injured (uses a nose-gear as a crutch) and winds up defecting to the Autobots and combines with Prime, possibly to fight Devastator. and he's found in the museum by WHEELIE!

Ive avoided spoilers so far for Transformers 2, but couldnt resist clicking on the one posted. And im rewarded with that? a character more irritating than 100 Jar Jar Binks is in the film? please, please tell me it was an early April fools joke :(

You can see a bit of him in the second trailer released, in the scene where Scorponok attacks another Transformer. That's Jetfire.

Is the last sentence a wind-up?

In the cartoon, I want to know where Skyfire got that Autobot logo to show the Decepticons before he put it on.

no, i'm not kidding about the character at the end of my spoiler.

Wheelie is reportedly a DECEPTICON who defects. His toy's bio states that 'he only joined the Decepticons because he hates being yelled at and does what he's told'. he transforms into a blue radio-control pick-up truck, so he's tiny...

If they had made Jetfire in the movie the same as the toy, I think I'd have had the biggest fangasm that could be had. I had a pristine Jetfire that I sold in the early days of E-Bay (I think I raked in more than $100 on him) and even my then-wife said, "Damn, this one is so cool it's a shame to sell him".
