Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson & Courteney Cox are big fat, fatties

Re: Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson & Courteney Cox are big fat, fattie

Am I missing something ?
All I see is "put on a little weight", "now sporting sexier curves", "there was suddenly, amazingly, a womanly roundness to their frames"

No fat, no fatties, no big fat anything
Yes, interestingly enough, Andy Port wrote a completely unambiguous praise of female beauty in all its diversity. Unfortunately, "Celeb.tv" can't seem to understand a simple, very short, completely straightforward blog entry and got it completely wrong.

TrekBBS ain't running up an impressive reading comprehension score on this count either. ;)

Yeah, it's amazing. The blogger is being criticized for calling them sexy and womanly, while the video takes that to mean "fat."

So doing the math, which of them is perpetuating the myth that skinnier is better?

According to the New York Times.

Nope.

This is why no one knows what's in the national health bills. Let's all stop believing the media and go to the horse's mouth. m'kay?

Honestly I can't believe they would ever say something like that. Remember the fuss Kate Moss caused when she said she had to starve to stay skinny? Waaahhhh! In her case, I only think she was being honest, but the media are very, very sensitive and try to be as politically correct as possible.

What about that lady with the hairy shins at the Golden Globes? I read a headline on Yahoo, but it wasn't in any way pejorative.

If Jennifer Aniston is fat then call me a fattie-lover.

Christ, that woman (the journalist) is an idiot.

Is "starve to stay skinny" a euphemism for "I snort a lot of cocaine"?

Yeah, but the important thing to learn is that if a journalist seems to be publishing ideas about weight and beauty which offer a harmful message to women, the best way to counter it is to attack her on the grounds of her looks, desirability, and perceived gender-presentation, because that's the moral high ground.

Re: Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson & Courteney Cox are big fat, fattie

I think that was the best I had ever seen Courtney Cox.

Usually I'd say yeah in her case, but in this instance, someone asked her how she managed, and she said that without starving, there was no way to stay skinny like that. People rioted.

Come on, it makes me angry when these emaciated women pretend to eat loads of junk food and still look like that (without vomiting). It makes teenage girls feel like utter failures because they can't eat normally and be ultra skinny. No-one can.

I don't like Kate Moss all that much, but at least that bit was honest.

Precisely... what the hell ?

Re: Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson & Courteney Cox are big fat, fattie

Even more Golden Globes-related crap from the New York Times -- what an NYT blogger (Horacio Silva) wrote about Michael C. Hall: "Is Michael C. Hall playing Bob Marley in an upcoming movie? Don’t get the hat or what he is hiding under it."

Still trying to find a pic of Andy Port.
Hall has/had cancer and was being treated for it. It's quite possible he's wearing a hat to cover up treatment from it but not having seen the image in question or what treatment he has I don't know whether that's true. Cancer treatments typically do result in some hair loss though so I'm taking a stab at why.

Agreed, there was a good period on friends there where she was a vaugely female skeletor. In these pictures she looks pretty damn good.

If it weren't illegal, addictive, and criminal, and eventually lethal.... it would be the perfect way to lose weight.

"Try the new Kate Moss diet today! It never fails!"

Death is the ultimate weight loss solution.

Re: Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson & Courteney Cox are big fat, fattie

But that doesn't work if you die whilst still fat, eh, dummy? :p
