Spoilers Invincible (Prime Video)

That last episode didn't even feel like a finale, aside from the confrontation with Angstrom. When it ended I was half-expecting another episode to be there.

I also hope there won't be another two year wait between episodes. But I get that animation takes a long time, as they actually said in the show. I loved that one bit where Mark went to Comic Con where they lampshaded the little tricks animators pull to cut corners and stretch their budget.

The show is too gory for me to watch. My weakness, not the show's.
But I've seen a dinosaur scene. Is there any explanation how the alternate universes work or were the talking theropods just a one-scene gag?

The wait did kill some of my interest in the show.

I didn't even realize it was the season finale until your post. Yea, it really didn't feel like it compared to what happened in S1.

I guess the 4 episodes and then a couple months break and then the next 4 made me not realize it had been a 'full' season of 8.

I believe they worked on season 2 and 3 at the same time. Season 2 depended on the success of season 1 which is why it took a while and also why it's split.

I think also thematically its very different with a stronger emphases on characters and less the overall comicbookish action that season 1 had a lot of.

it definitely felt like another episode was coming

it also demonstrates why I don't care for the secret id trope

That would make sense considering how fast they are moving with the story. I need to do a re-read of the series. I own it on Comixology and used to have it downloaded, <b**chy rant> but it seems that Amazon has changed the original licensing terms even though I was assured that wouldn't happen when they originally purchased Comixology. </b***chy rant>

They really increased the budget, the show looks good.

The first 3 episodes will be released on February 6th. The remaining episodes will be released weekly.

Season 3 is excellent. I'd say it's a step up from season 2. I don't follow the comics so I don't know the pace the story is going at compared to the comics or what's ahead but episode 6 introduced Powerplex. I get the feeling big things lie ahead for that character since Aaron Paul is voicing him.

I concur. I also never read the Invincible line of comics; but I'm enjoying S3 much more than I did S2 (and S1 was great IMO to begin with.)

Episode 7. The latest episode was.... like... how do they come back from that? Any other show I'd be waiting for that reset button or to discover it was all a dream. But Invincible isn't that type of show.
