I'm going to go out and buy some Skechers.

It seems that if you're tall these days, you're also supposed to be a lard ass OR an anorexic emo kid.

Being skinny really doesn't help much either. I have the same build as most mannequins (which is kind of disturbing, but that's just the way it is), however, the clothes they put on them are deceiving because they're always pinned or clipped in the back. It's kind of ironic and a little annoying that clothes aren't even made to fit the way they're displayed and advertised!

Having worked in retail, that's not done to try to mislead you on how things fit. It's cause the size that actually fits the mannequin is one generally one of the sizes that sells out first.

Well, in that case, it's just annoying that everyone is buying up the things in my size.

I can only buy UK size 13 shoes from specialist stores and even then they are not big name brands.

I feel you. I wear either a US size 14 or 15 depending on the shoe in question and it is a hassle getting new shoes. In my recent experience in getting shoes from a certain set of stores that specialised in big and tall sizes (mostly clothing but they keep around a 20 types of shoes, split between formal/work shoes and casual/runners), Sketchers actually made up for around half the styles of casual shoes in the size 13 and 14.

^Not over here, sadly. A US size 14 is equivalent to a UK 13 (well, when I buy size 13 shoes they are often actually US 14's).
