I'm done with Matt (Nip/Tuck)

For years, I've been hoping for some redemption for him, for him to become a better man and to free himself from bad infleunces in his life. To become someone like the Matt of the alternate future in Connor McNamara 2026. But now I'm done. I've come to think of him as nothing more than a weak-willed, pathetic piece of shit who bullshits himself into thinking he's fallen in love with one person or changed for the better for the thousandth time while not truly learning from his past mistakes and behavior.

What do you guys think? Did Matt ever had a chance? And do you think, if Cherry Peck had lived after Season 3, there would have been a chance of her and Matt becoming a happy couple? I was getting an intimate vibe from them at the end of Season 3 before the torture session at the hand of the Nazi father.

I wanted him to die. Like, seriously. In fact, I wanted nearly the entire cast to die as punishment for every awful thing they've all done to each other. But especially Matt. Talk about a shitty, SHITTY character.

The last two seasons were pretty awful in general, and the finale was just an all-around terrible episode that left a bad taste in my mouth.
