If you were starting a band what names would you pick?

The Pooligans

Art Indesgestion

Instead of the T.Birds, the Jay Birds
Is there a band with that name already?

I can't take credit for this one. I heard it on the radio this morning.
"Yachtly Crew" - A cover band performing Yacht Rock/Soft Rock cover versions of 80s hair metal bands. They're performing at a local casino.
This is also the name of a band here in Anchorage, Alaska. They don't do metal covers, but otherwise exactly what it sounds like. https://www.facebook.com/yachtlycrewalaska

As a none-too-musical person and a science nerd, I'd go for Schrödinger's Pitch.

(I never know whether I'll actually hit the correct pitches until I make the attempt.)
Clever

Odin’s Toes
Dianna’s Bath
Winchester Cheese

I've always liked the name the actor Mark Strong had for the punk band he was in when he was young. They called it "Private Party" and they thought it would make a great joke for their 'in concert' posters - because no one would come since people would think it was a private party

Never noticed this thread before.

More than half a lifetime ago, the A/V technician at my high school and I thought of a punk/renaissance/medieval fusion band, called "Mead."

More recently, the protagonist of my novel plays keyboard for not one, but two garage bands. The high school band is called "Wind Machine"; the college band is called "Pipe Dream." The keyboard in question is a small, movable organ. The kind with real pipes. (And until you've heard "Green Onions," "A Whiter Shade of Pale," or "California Sun" on real pipes, you haven't heard 'em.)
