I like the flavor of good asian food but most is way too salty for me.

I'm betting those morons who wouldn't eat it wolf down true mystery meats like hot dogs or cold cuts.

I don't mind some of it
Shrimp fried rice
Breaded Almond Chicken
Curried Chicken
But I find it WAY,WAY over priced.
one good resturant In Victoria, BC is called Kimbo's I China town.

Yeah, I like Chinese food at lot. I will admit that I'm more trusting of Chinese food in America than elsewhere, since I know there are food inspections. But it tastes good everywhere.

I always thought "Mein Street" would be a good name for a Chinese restaurant.

Noodly deliciousness.

Really? I find that Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese restaurants all tend to have the best cost-to-portion size out there, and that most entrees tend to be pretty cheap, in the $15 and under range. That's one of the reasons why I love Chinese food, you can almost invariably get a huge meal for less than twenty bucks.

I've found that Chinese restaurants on the West Coast tend to be far more expensive than those on the East Coast (or in the central part of the US). I've never quite figured out the why of it though.

That's odd. Especially since the Asian population tends to be higher the further west you go in North America.

Well, if they do use dog meat, at least they disguise it. You never have to see this, for example:

Same observation here. It's Japanese food that's overpriced given the portion size. I'm also just not the biggest fan of eating raw meat.

Now get me to sum dim sum!

My friend ate dog once and said it was the Shih Tzu.

Locally, some Chinese places have reps of digging out stuff from grocery store dumpsters to use in their dishes. I don't go to those places.

Seems like the only losers here are the people who refused to eat.
In every sense, yeah.
There was a great Korean place in Hamilton I used to love. Also, a wonderful Chinese place just down the street from where I grew up in Windsor, though it's now closed.....
Sadly, this area of Michigan I now live in is bereft of many things Asian.
Bereft is a fun word, it's like talking about boobs with a lisp.

At least Michigan is fairly close to Toronto. That's kind of a mecca for Asian food.

I live in a city with a huge Asian population, so we have a lot of great Chinese and other Asian-style restaurants. They are very reasonably priced. And the waitresses all have cute bereft.

I enjoy it sometimes since we have a chinese lunch place where i work (although i assume its highly "swedishfied"). I prefer the noodles and meat foods and yakinuki etc. I don't like the many chicken/meat foods with veggies in like coconutsauce and I find all the fried stuff pretty gross even though I sometimes have to admit its good. The thing that pulls me to that restaurant though is that they have an amazing salad and fruit bar that is included in the meal :D

Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Afghan, Indian it doesn't matter. The hotter the better, too. The best thing is, here in the DC area, we have good restaurants of those types in abundance. When we're out, I've gotten to where if there isn't some symbol of heat next to the dish on the menu, I don't even consider ordering it. Subtle flavors my ass. I want my face to redden, my eyes to water, my nose to run, and my tongue to burn. And I'll be smiling the entire time. (Because of the endorphins, dontcha know.)
