If you have any funny lines from a st book post it in here

Example:

"From "Before Dishonor" by Peter David

Just some of the Humor in this book

---------------------------------------------------------
Seven: "A fleet led by Commodore Picard."
"Commodore-" Jellico looked in confusion at Nechayev. "Did I miss a memo? Who promoted him?"
"Mackenzie Calhoun" said Seven
"Oh. Well, figures." Jellico sighed
---------------------------------------------------------
"Commander Worf, have Captain Picard escorted to the brig, assume command of Enterprise, and set a course for Earth."
Everyone was dead still on the bridge for a long moment. Then, very slowly, very deliberately, Picard rose from the command chair, turned, faced Worf, and gestured for the klingon first officer to assume command. Determined, he kept his face neutral.
Worf remained exactly where he was, in the first officers chair. "I regret I am unable to comply, Admiral." He said
"'Unable'?" asked a stunned Nechayev
"Yes."
"For what reason are you unable?"
Worf scowled and then said "My foot is asleep."
It was everything Picard could do not to grin.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"don't forget to say 'Make it so', it's not the same if you don't say 'make it so'."
"engage!"
"damn you, Picard, you tricky bastard!"

same book.

From the same book, the scene talking directly about Richard Arnold ... Oh, how I love that passage. If you don't know the story, it doesn't mean anything extra. If you do, oh, it's deliciously juicy.

Yeah, okay. I'm kind of tired of Peter David's endless in-jokes, but that one was damned funny.
