Hubba Hubba (Torchwood spoilers)

Hm, I thought she was good in Merlin.
Personally, I don't have any of the problems with Merlin people seem to have. I don't care if it's not accurate to the legend, I think having Merlin and Arthur be young together is a good choice and it's working on the show. I don't think the CG on the dragon is bad, and I think the acting, for the most part, has been good. I think Tony Head is playing Uther that way for a reason, and not just "phoning it in".
Then again, what do I know, I think Merlin is better, but Robin Hood is an alright way to kill 45 minutes on a Saturday night, too.

yes I thought Gwen was good in Merlin as well, in part becasue she dropped her strong welsh accent a bit.

I thought I'd add a little more to this thread. [Sulu]oh my![/Sulu]

(If this one's a step too far I'll take it down).

Going back to the rubble outside Torchwood, I was there today in Cardiff and an American lady stopped me and asked me if this was a piece of art!:guffaw:

so she hasnt seen the show, and art is strange stuff theses days, its not a totally out of the blue suggestion

Pittsburg has (or had, haven't been there in a while) piles of masonry debris in crooks of buildings as a modern art project. Or so my overly credulous self believed when my brother-in-law complained about it. Now that I think about it, it's just as likely it was a trash pile from a nearby demolition site and he was just yanking my chain.

Seems like that article was written prior to or during Series 2 of DW, though it's interesting that it says that while Myles has been picked to play Gwen in Torchwood, she's also being "tapped as the new sidekick for the Timelord". I never heard that before. That might have been interesting. If that had panned out, would she have been Gwyneth again, or someone new?

im thinking she would be a distant relative of Gwyneth like Gwen is. The show seems to like that kind of thing, they did the same with Martha, even if that connection was never made on screen.

Well, I don't even know what Midnight is...another show, I presume. Anyway, sounds interesting. I'm willing to give it a shot... :techman:
Midnight was the S4 companion-lite episode

D'OH!! Of course! Sorry! I'd forgotten about the teenager in that episode. I always just remember the interesting characters. Plus, I've just seen it once so far...

I've always thought she was a minger (isn't that what you Brits call an ugly sheila?) but sometimes I really want to shag her.

The yanks won't understand a thing I just said then.

In "Smith and Jones," Martha did mention that ill-fated Adeola from "Army of Ghosts" was her cousin.

I'm pretty sure that was never really under consideration.

From MRiddle: "...they suspect that Gwen & Ianto are terrorists. Probably because Gwen beat up a bunch of paramedics and made off with the ambulance (with Ianto chasing after!) PC Andy sort of dropped himself in it because they ended the scene with the woman saying "You must know where she lives." (She wanted to raid their houses). Before that I'm sure she said something like "Haven't you got police tape to guard?" to which he said "I'm just saying you're barking up the wrong tree"."

Someone standing on top of a building? In Torchwood?!

Am I being really stupid for looking forward to this season? I was suckered in to the build up for season 2, and it only took 2 episodes before I'd gnawed off my own foot in preference*.

*No, it's not -actually- true wamdue.
