So this famous Red Ranger is arrested for financial fraud.

The American Actor for Gao Ranger, Ricardo Medina Jr, was arrested & imprisoned for impaling & killing his roomie with a sword.

The Ninja Storm Red Ranger (Pua Magasiva) abused his wife repeatedly, he was eventually convicted of doing it, then committed suicide (but not before one more session of domestic abuse, according to the wife).

So, yeah, there is some really fucked up stuff connected to Power Rangers actors. Defrauding the government is fairly tame by comparison.

Just think, before Medina killed someone, Samuell Benta (Overdrive Black) was usually considered the worst PR actor, for stealing a banner at a convention with PR actor signatures on it that was going to be given to charity (I'm assuming it would have been auctioned off by the charity). He's still an ass and his shit shouldn't be forgotten (he's basically never invited to US conventions after what he did, at least from what I understand), but obviously things have very much surpassed his transgression.

Also I've been told that Michael Copon(Lucas from Timeforce) and Karen Ashley on separate occasions swindled money from fan film donations

Also Michael Copon was accused of sexual harassment by several fans at a con for one tree hill in 2018.

The fan film thing doesn't surprising, there is at least one that is still supposedly going to happen, but I just assume at this point that any fan films made by PR actors are either never intended to get made, or the people trying to make it just aren't capable of pulling off the project.

I'm a bit surprised about benta, I read that UK conventions would sometimes have him, but with so many conventions in the US I guess it makes sense that some would bring him in, and I suppose time can dull misdeeds, at least when they're not some life threatening type things.

You know, at over 21 individual shows (and a few cast swaps inside of shows), there are so many actors that played Power Rangers that inevitably some are going to be pieces of shit. Its still kind of surprising to hear about it, but its bound to happen.

Karen Ashley, nor anyone involved with the Order project has paid a penalty for taking 150k and doing nothing with it.

No one got their money back because it was spent on legal fees or something like that. It was really bad and alot of fans are still angry.

Well, VulPanther from Sun Vulcan was arrested for and found guilty of Sexual Assault of a High School girl (and taking pictures of it, which added child pornography charges because she was under age), but thats the only really bad sentai actor thing that I'm aware of, although there is most likely other stuff, even if its much lesser offenses.

There are a few shady Kamen Rider actors. Super-1's actor scammed fans out of money. Kamen Rider Black's actor has also taken money from fans while claiming financial trouble (but being very pushy about getting the money, including squeezing a woman for about $2,700) along with talking shit about the KR franchise and fans even though he also got in trouble for running tours with fans, so while he doesn't like the franchise or the fans but he loves taking their money.

Austin St John used to buy Power Rangers merch and then price gouged them on his website.

In 2018 when he was selling mountains of bootleg PR, Sentai, Kamen Rider, other big and little toku franchises, Transformers, Marvel, DC, lots of different anime, video games, Stranger Things etc etc... toys and clothing on the official store on his site, with things titles as "Power Rangers" regardless of its source, with the manufacturer brands listed as being by "St. John Enterprises" his company

What an idiot. Saban underpaying Austin st. John almost 30 years ago doesn't justify what he did. Even if he'd been better paid at the time its been almost three decades, and its not like he'd have been making a huge amount of money from the show now even if Power rangers had been a decently paying union show at the time, and he wouldn't even get much from merchandise because most of it didn't use his face.

I'm not saying that Power Rangers doesn't (and probably still does) under pay its performers, and its also non-union work which I know isn't great for actors, but none of that justifies what he did. He got involved in fraud, and the kind that takes money from places that could actually use it. There are over 100 people who have played Power Rangers at this point (and thats not counting supporting cast members, villains, etc), and almost all of them were underpaid, but only a small hand full seem to get involved in illegal/scummy activity. It makes me wonder if Taber has stuff he doesn't want to be known, or if he's just bitter towards how he was treated (which would be fair enough, but it still doesn';t justify St. John's stuff).

That's just ridiculous, Cardenas doesn't look like St. John, not in that comparison or even back in the day. It wasn't just a lazy google either, I tried googling various combinations of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Red Ranger", and Rocky basically doesn't show up unless you look for him specifically or add "movie" or "season 3" to the search, and even then most of the pics are just of the red ranger suit. I guess "news" source like the Daily Mail might have some kind of internal/private image archive that could explain it, but even then it should be obvious that they're different people if someone did more then just vaguely glance at the article before posting it.

Masami Obari, jokingly said the proportion of Donbrother's DX toy Don Onitaijin reminds him of his own art style, especially the infamous "Obari stand" pose. One of DX Don Onitaijin lead designer, Akira Terano, confirmed that he and his co-designer Tetsuya Tsurumaki watched a lot of Obari's works on Friday and Saturday evenings back then so it did influence them.


Unlike the previous Sentai mech, the Don Robotaro (the red/core "mech" of Don Onitaijin) was designed for CGI usage initially but later decided to become an actual costume hence the unusual proportion and pointy design. ShirakuraP said that Sentai CG mechs trend lately did cause a lot of trouble for design team.


Obari said that he wishes to write a storyboard for combining mech/gattai scene for Super Sentai, as despite his vast experiences on mech animes, he never done any for tokusatsu. ShirakuraP jokingly said that he will send Obari an e-mail when the time comes, as he now have Obari's business card.

So we do know the CGI is proving to be troubling for the design team

Beowulf's tribe, in fact, so maybe Kamen Rider Geats will have a theme along those lines, Scandinavian myth or Vikings or Goths (who may or may not have been the same tribe as the Geats).

The direct romaji transliteration of the name is "Giitsu," and in searching for a Japanese meaning for the word, I find only a single reference to it on Google Books, as a word for gambling on a village placard of rules and prohibitions from the Heian period in the 9th century. It doesn't seem to be in modern usage, though.

In ranger form he has two modes

Gold mode is called Don Dragoku. Dragoku’s special powers also grant him access to a silver armored form known as Don Torabolt. It's basically an inverted GokaiSilver

Don Dragoku will transform using the Ryuko Nogeki– a naginana spear

The Don Torabolt form has a unique accessory called the TiGuarDra that can store multiple Gears.

Don Dragoku possesses an ALTER form- resembling a green dragon. In this new form Dragoku can channel the powers of past Super Sentai– demonstrated with the aid of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Alter!

The Ninninger Alter is a giant drone that can also resemble a throwing star. Don Dragoku can also fly on it to really drive home the Sun WuKong motif (Riding on a cloud)
