Grimm - Season 4

So what happens if Grimm Nick and Hexenbiest Juliette have a baby?

Would the powers of both parents cancel each other out, and the baby ends up being an ordinary human?

You know, that's a good point. The problem with this whole "Oh noes, Juliette is a hexenbiest now" thread is that it's easy to resolve. We already know that all she has to do is drink a bit of Nick's blood and she'll be turned human again. They could resolve this whole crisis in one slightly kinky evening together.

We don't know if Nick's blood can be a cure since this is a different situation. They made a point that naturally born Wesen and humans turned into Wesen are different from each other. Just because it worked on Adalind, doesn't mean it would work on Juliette.

Isn't Adalind coming back to Portland? I got really bored with the idiocy of her character--I think Juliette should be the one to take her out. And that her doing so removes the Hexenbiest from Juliette, since the source is dead by her hands. Renard should not be the one to do kill Adalind, since he's the baby's father--so father does not kill mother.

Killing Adalind would allow refocus onto the Royals instead of Adalind, and cause possible future clashes for baby vs. Nick/Juliette with Renard torn between the two sides.

Really enjoyed this episode. I loved seeing the whole cast coming together to save Monroe (and Bud). I loved seeing Bud and Monroe standing up the Wesenrein.
I do agree that it was a annoying that Juliette only told Renard about her being a Hexenbeist, but I am glad she told someone. The preview for next week's does make it look like Nick will find out, so hopefully this means they won't drag the arc out forever.
I didn't really realize it until I was reading the posts on the last page, but the world building on Grimm really has been rather lackluster. I think we know more about the supernatural community in New Orleans after 1 1/2 season of The Originals, than we do the worldwide Wesen community after 3 1/2 seasons of Grimm.

Not bad. All I kept thinking about the Wesen of the week was that he badly needed to wear some plastic gloves if he wanted to hug people so badly. Even blood thirsty crazy yellow hobo Wesen need love too!

What was with Renard randomly getting shirtless? Fanservice for the female audience? Thank god Nick and Hank didn't actually go along the honeymoon with Monroe and Rosalee. Also it was nice to be Adalind and Vicktor free for this episode. I hope the Henrietta on this show will become as kickass as the Henrietta from Fringe. Juliette's nightmare of Nick killing her was totally pointless, and only done for the previews as I suspected.

DAMMIT Juliette! Tell Nick!

Sean's life force was linked to his mother?

Is his mother dead?

Seems so.

Juliet loses her Hexenbeast aspect if she consumes the blood of a Grimm.

Bleeding gums or blood in his semen?

OH!

Sucking poison out, after Nick has been bitten by a snake or a wesen with snake like aspects!

To be honest, they shouldn't even share a toothbrush anymore if she eventually wants to keep her super powers.

So, I'm supposed to respect Juliette for not telling Nick about her Hexenbiest side-effect?

After all they have seen and done together this is suddenly a step too far? I would be far more interested in them hashing it out than seeing Juliette spend more private time with Nick's boss. I'm annoyed.

That said, I'm really looking forward to all things Henrietta, and her connection to Renard.

Kinda hard to examine reopened wounds on one's chest without taking off one's shirt.

Yup. That was such a screamingly obvious dream sequence that they shouldn't even have bothered to try faking us out.

Right. It's gratuitous to have her keep it secret. The only way it'll be justified, maybe, is if it turns out that there's some evil Hexenbiest spirit inside her that's taking her over and making her keep it secret. Although that's hard to reconcile with her turning to Renard for help.

Otherwise, it's really stupid for her to try to hide it from Nick, the one non-Wesen in town who'll know instantly if she loses control and Woges in front of him. I mean, they're living together, so it's inevitable that he'll see that happen at some point; therefore, she really should've told him right away so that he wouldn't be shocked and all "Who are you and what have you done with Juliette" when it happened. Which, come to think of it, is probably exactly what will happen, because the writers made her act so stupidly in order to set it up. This is shaping up to be the lamest thing that's been done with Juliette since her amnesia.

Meanwhile, Wu is still proving he's a better detective than Nick and Hank. He actually recognized the electric Wesen right off because he's been studying the books in the trailer -- something Nick and Hank never seem to have bothered to do even though they've had a few years' headstart. Wu is the only character on this show who isn't an idiot.

I like the actor. I like the character.

I hope they don't send him off on some revenge/crusade sub-plot.

He is solid just the way he is right now. Just like Monroe and Rosalee.

It kind of would've been nice had it been a ghost or anything other than yet another Wesen. Wu is a tech head and really it was up to Nick to make the connection with the waitress being a Wesen a connection Wu could not have made. And I think the dream is the reason why Juliette hasn't told Nick yet, but then Juliette rarely tells Nick anything important.

Are you saying that Rosalee is an idiot?:p

Ol' Wu has been promoted from Sgt. Exposition at crime scene introductions to Sgt. Exposition at Wesen introductions. I hope Reggie Lee has a German language coach on set to help him with pronunciations. Funny scene when Nick informed Wu that he'd eaten one of Adalind's cookies, which caused him to eat carpet years ago.

I agree that the Juliette character always gets the laziest and most uninspired storylines. Her fear of Nick killing her because she's becoming a Hexenbeist is so contrived to blatantly manufacture drama, at the cost of the character's believability and logic. It would almost make sense if Nick were possessed with some innate drive to murder any Wesen he lays eyes on, but he doesn't. Ever. Someone that lives with him (and not currently affected by magical amnesia) would know that Nick doesn't kill Wesen indiscriminately. She should know that he would be understanding that Juliette is suffering from a consequence of the polyjuice potion that she ingested -- to help Nick, it should be pointed out.

I don't think all that highly of the Nick character myself, but she's not giving him any credit at all and imagining him reacting in the absolute worst possible way. Decapitating her while sleeping? Yeesh... Julia Roberts' character in Sleeping with the Enemy didn't think that little of her husband. And he made her straighten their bath towels. Incessantly.

^Good point about Rosalee. I gave in to hyperbole because I'm so annoyed at how generally stupid Nick and Hank are.

And yeah, Juliette does get saddled with some lousy storylines, which is a shame, since she's one of the most appealing characters/performers on the show.

I was just about to post the same thing.
I've kind of got mixed feelings about he last few episodes. I'm thrilled that Wu knows, and it's nice to take a break from Adalind and the Royals, but now we've got this annoying Juliette storyline.
I thought the case of the week was pretty interesting.

I don't get why Juliet would not tell Nick and also is she still a vet? The women is never at work.
At first I liked the fact that Wu was told what was going on, but now I have this horrible feeling he is going to go on some sort of crusade against the Wesen. I really hope they do not go down that road.

This is after Constantine completes its season?

Only two more episodes of Constantine left, so this scheduling change should occur well after Constantine's finale.

I wonder if this move is designed to promote greater corporate synergy between NBC and SyFy, since both networks have genre shows competing for the small segment of viewers that watch TV Friday nights at 9:00.

My guess is that since Dateline gets good ratings for Friday, NBC decided that they might as well expand it from one to two hours, moving Grimm to 8PM as a result.

There are pros and cons to the new earlier time for Grimm.

PROS:
Gets out the way of Shark Tank, which gets the highest ratings on Friday.
It is still on Fridays, so the change isn't too major.

CONS:
Gets out of the way of Glee, which gets the lowest ratings on Friday.
8PM is generally a worse slot than 9PM in prime time.
Grimm's ratings have been really stable for the last couple of years, strong enough for multiple seasons, any kind of time change could threaten that.

The big question is has NBC renewed Grimm for season 5 yet?

Since Wu is something of a tech head maybe he could put the book into a flash drive and call it a Wesenpedia. :techman:

Have you seen how many books there are in the trailer? It would take ages to scan all those pages onto a computer!

Well Wu aprently has enough time to read though the books and do his police work.
