Greatest Obituary Ever

I realize the title sounds pretty morbid, but read on. This was published in the Denver Post a few days ago, and I can't think of a better way to remember somebody.

A Celebration of the life of Michael "Flathead" Blanchard will be held on April 14th, 3 pm 8160 Rosemary St, Commerce City. Weary of reading obituaries noting someone's courageous battle with death, Mike wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors' orders and raising hell for more than six decades. He enjoyed booze, guns, cars and younger women until the day he died

I wonder what his tombstone will read?

R.I.P. brother...

Great obituary and honest.

I have decided not to have an obituary or a funeral because I am so sick of the hypocisy. I am certain that there are people can't be fucking bothered to spend time with me while I am alive who would turn up at a funeral if I had one.

Anyone who knows and cares about me will be informed of my death by my sons. No-one important to me will have to read about my death in the newspaper. My sons are going to scatter my ashes at a nearby beach while having a picnic. They know who to ask and the ae going to play Monty Python's "Look on the bright Side of Life" as they scatter the ashes.

Probably not in that order, though. ;)

That’s great. I like that. :techman:

As for me, I don’t believe in funerals either. I’m going to donate my body to medical science. With any luck, I’ll get dissected by a cute female med student.

That obit is awesome. I'm also not big on funerals. After every usable bit has been harvested from my corpse for transplant purposes the rest can go to a medical school, or be cremated if no med school wants my leftover bits.

The visitors' book for my mother's funeral contained 137 names/couples, so my dad felt compelled to write 137 thank-you cards (being his usual stubborn self, he refused any help). He didn't even know who several of these people were. My thoughts on this is "bugger that hassle". It's certainly not something I want to put my family through, and if my mother knew this was going to happen she would have made different arrangements.

Hoping to get a girl to finally touch you? :techman:

there won't be enough left of me for them to bury. that, or my body will never be found. i'll be listed as Missing, presumed Dead until i finally return.
