Gonna bust my ENT cherry soon.

Really wow Guinan wasn't she in TNG and Q how are they able to use characters that weren't even around yet I never quite got that
Guinan is a member of a long lived species and we know from TNG she had been to Earth as early as the 19th century so squeezing her into the 22nd century wouldn't have been difficult.

And I'll add that Q is from the "Q-continuum" -- a race of beings that evolved to become immortal, powerful -- basically like Gods. Time and space are irrelevant to him and his kind.

So yeah, it would have been perfectly fine for them to have been in an episode or two of Enterprise.

Personally, I'm very disappointed about not getting the MU goodness. *sigh*

Yep. Remember the TNG episode where the group went back to the time of Mark Twain and they bumped into Guinan there.

I've noticed that for me Enterprise seems to be more re-watchable than TNG.

Agreed. I am going through TNG and find it hasn't aged as well as I thought. And some of the episodes are awful. I find myself screaming at the tv way more than I ever screamed at ENT. Yikes.

You're not the only one who thinks that. TNG has aged badly. It's a more common sentiment than you might think. There's just something so damnably antiseptic about TNG.

I love TNG. I still think Picard was the best captain, love Data, Riker/Troi was more interesting than other Trek attempted romances, had a nice variety of different stories ranging from the fun high concept ones to the political showcases to the character pieces.

I enjoyed ENT but it really can't compare as far as substance and quantity of great hours that are quite rewatchable--The Best of Both Worlds, Q Who, The Measure of a Man, Matter of Honor, The Survivors, The Bonding, Cause and Effect, TImescape, Parallels, All Good Things, Remember Me, The Drumhead, Silicon Avatar etc etc.

TNG did have some great stories and some good special effects from time to time. However I did not care much for the uniforms, and the ship was just a bit too bright inside, the theme. It was much improved upon with Enterprise E, the uniforms were also great! DS9 of course took on the uniforms and darker look.

Enterprise simply stands alone as something quite different which I like too! I think all shows stand the test of time somewhat, even the classic series, of course now with a cgi upgrade...

I gotta say that after watching ENT so much I watch TNG and go, "damn those cabins are HUGE!" lol
