Font Request: Gold Key Comics

I'm looking for the Gold Key comics Star Trek logo font. I've Googled it, but have had no luck thus far. If anyone has it, or can direct me to it, or even knows what the name of the font is...I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks!

No idea. I doubt there was a font back in the day, looks someone just drew/painted it and went off to the presses. But I bet there's something somewhere that's a close match, something about it makes me think of Gilligan's Island but that might have been thinner and a bit ... "flow-y-er" if that's a word...

I loved those old comics. I have a collected volume I got a few years ago when they did some TPB's of them. It's like what Star Trek would have been if it had been done fifteen years earlier!

Kinda' like "Rule 34", if a lettering design exists, somewhere one can download a font. ;)

Sincerely,

Bill

I'm stunned it exists! Awesome.

Seriously? If there's a font from a show, movie, comic, etc., someone has it made up somewhere.

I downloaded the Brady Bunch one, though I'm having a hard time getting the thick outline. I can't remember what program I used to use for that.

I did up the one from most of the Kansas albums about 10 years ago.

The real problem is knowing what name the creator used for a font.

Though sometimes you can Google a font by something like "Star Trek" and come up with Trek themed ones that have other names.

I have the Metallica font but it's named "Pastor Of Muppets", so ya never know.
