First Terra Nova dinos unleashed

Well, if we see Colonel Badass fighting a dinosaur with his bare hands and winning, this show will have proven to me it's pure awesome thus guaranteeing I watch it until the end.

Which, considering this is Fox, will likely be in the second season.

Ooh, an optimist.

^^Actually, in the past couple of years Fox has been waiting until the second year before they yank the cords on shows. I guess they were sick of being known for their five episode wonders...

Unless it's really good, then its days are definitely numbered.

Is the premise still "wasting time and resources developing time travel so we can go back in time and utterly destroy the timeline, including ourselves, all because we didn't feel like spending those same resources cleaning up the planet, or just traveling back a couple decades to get started doing so then?"

Cause, if so, I really have no interest in a show that dumb.

"Unless it's really good" or "If it's really good"? I'm thinking it should be the second one. ;)

"I'm thinking"? I think that should be "I think".

^Something gives me the impression you didn't get the point of my post.... I'm criticizing the circumstances that usually gets shows canceled on Fox (as in if it's good, it's dead), not your post.

I will watch the pilot, but I remember how much I looked forward to "Seaquest" since Spielberg was involved. It makes me wary.

Hey, now come on: seaQuest was absolutely great right up until the second season. :P

This show does look interesting, but as I put on another forum I wonder how much it will be "Lost meets Jurassic Park"

Not that it's automatically a bad thing, if they put their own spin on it, but with the way TV these days as been going...

No way. Despite it's reputation on these boards, Fox is not that quick to cancel anymore. My speculation. A complete first season order of 22-24. A second season pickup of 13, most likely on Friday night, and then cancellation after that.

Yeah it seems Fox cancels sci-fi shows after two season.

However I see it being insane expensive and it flopping hard, so you never know. Let's wait until May, it will be a good test to see.

Besides, even when Fox was known for knee-jerk cancellations, Dark Angel lasted two season on Fox just through James Cameron's name being attached to it. With Spielberg's attached to Terra Nova, it shouldn't have any problem gettng a second season.

I say it'll get a year and then gone. Lang will do his best but the Spielberg-bland family will fail to lock in the viewers and the ratings won't justify the budget.
