First big snow in Boise(Pics)

Hrmpf! How did Boise manage to get all the snow, anyway? I'm less than twenty-five miles from there and all I have to show from the 'storm' is icy roads and a front lawn with a bad case of dandruff. *pouts*

Very nice pics, tho'. :)

Man....I would LOVE to have a "white Christmas" just once. How long does the snow season last up there?

Wow I didn't think I'd have this many replies :)

It actually started late. Usually end of November-February or so.
Right now the roads are pretty good, just cant hit brakes/gas to
hard or get slippin. The neighborhood roads are worst of course.

And yeah, it's kind of a crappy Digi-cam I agree, but it was free.
My Dad gave it to me when he got a new one.

I'm not a huge fan of snow and such, but there is some sentimental
feelings arroused by it. :) Last winter was a pretty crazy time for me.
I miss Florida though.

Boise is definitely a nice city though and I loved McCall.

Awesome, i used to live in Moscow, ID (graduated UofI in 2005) and just recently moved to Oregon, but my folks still live near McCall (if you know where Council is, you know where i spent 3 years of high school......:brickwall:

It's been in the mid 50s for two days now. Rainy, windy. Eastern Canada, eh? If it's like last year we won't get lasting snow til January.

Ahh, now thats REAL snow.

We had another of our crappy Seattle winter storms last night. We barely got enough snow to cover the ground, but since it only got down to 34, a lot of it melted. So there was a lot of water on the roads and sidewalks. A few hours later, the REAL arctic blast blew through and turned all that water to ice with lots of sharp little ridges from tire tracks in the slush that do wonderful things to bike tires. So now the roads are slick as hell, and its expected to stay below freezing for the next several days.

Naturally I have to ride into work in a few hours.
:(

You can have the snow we got in Victoria, BC.

Pretty wild eh? It's my first winter here in Vic, is the snow here usually this dry?

No Its usaully wet and turns to rain in a few hours, but this shit and the snow due tonight and tomorrow may stick around untill the weekend.

Ah the beauty of plastic cars and freezing weather.

Theres a sheet of ice encrusting the whole car.
None of the heaps of metal around the neighborhood have it.
It looked really cool last night, was all sparkly.

WOW! That's a lot of snow. We weren't that lucky. We got sleet and freezing rain and we're still cooped up in the house!!! I'm supposed to go on an interview tomorrow but am afraid I won't be able to make it cause of this weather. I emailed the staff manager and she's supposed to email me back soon but haven't heard from her. I may call instead. :)

Oooh, I wish it would rain and was this white shit away...

No really it's not that bad. I just am a bigger fan of above freezing temps and clear roads.
