Feline Follies

If you take twenty pics a day of your cat, some of them are bound to turn out. Not that I would know ...

Some more Birman beauty! This is one of my Birman's kittens, who happened to inherit her aristocratic genes.

That is pretty cat! I love the blue eyes!

I still don't understand how it's possible to take photographs of cats in the first place! -but, yeah: those are fantastic!
I'm a cat whisperer, trekkiedane!:p I guess I just love to be around cats and I'm around enough to catch a few good photo ops.

That particular kitty is possibly the most beautiful I've ever had. I still don't know how I managed to get those two shots, though. Luck, I guess.

Sorry for the double post, but I can't edit the previous one. Just wanted to post some more kitten pics.

Here's the gang meeting daddy:

A recent one of my Russian Blue Dusty who's now seven months old and she's evil honest!

Dusty or Speed loves climbing curtains and trashing the tv either that or just playing with feet mainly mine. Lately in the mornings she plods up my back and cries in my ear at 10 in the morning and won't leave until i'm up..

I nicknamed her Speed cos she's fast btw...

Are you sure she's not on meth? By the way you describe her, it sounds like there might be more than agility to that Speed nickname. :p

Well, no, just kidding. For her age, I'm sure she's just a normal energetic little cat. And she's a beauty! :techman:

Beanie and I are not impressed. Recently, Marigold wakes us up at 6:30 in the morning.

And I want to kill her :klingon: When she's too loud for too long, Beanie starts chasing her all around the rooms :rommie:

Great cats, everyone!

It's certainly possible to take good cat photos. We don't have cats, but my inlaws have four, and when they're outside (the cats, not the inlaws), it's great fun to be in the backyard with a camera.

This is Nala, on the hunt for something or other.

Yesterday, we found she suddenly passed away, not even six years old. :( She was a beautiful lady, if a bit slow-witted sometimes.

Can I just bitch for a second about people who give up pets once it becomes inconvenient? I know that there are some legitimate cases where people have to part with their pets. We have had one of those situations on the board recently. But there are SO MANY people on Craigslist trying to give up their pets to someone else and it makes me so angry. It also detracts from those loving owners who really can't give their pets a home any more and are heartbroken about it.

I know that I don't really know what people are going through but there is no way all of these people suddenly can't handle having a pet anymore. It's a commitment! Ugh. I wish I could take all of the kitties in. :(

I makes me mad too. I just can't understand how they could stop loving their family member and give it away?

But I know that my Marigold is from a home that gave her away. They didn't want to, but she was unhappy there; there were problems with her behaviour and they just couldn't keep her. As it turned out, it was them, not the cat. I suspect they were loud people and Marigold hate and is afraid of noise, so if they talk loud, do stuff loud (and Hong Kong people can be really loud ;)), she was not comfortable in their house.

She's a sweet girl in my quite home :) Sometimes she's the noisiest family member :D
