Feline Follies

Shimmy's like: "Tis but a scratch....I've had worse!" Hope he's doing OK.

Perro's getting a good "cleaning" while he's in the box too.

Thanks, guys. He's back to his 'ol self and gets lots of lovin' I assure you. His only gripe is the pill he has to take twice daily. But that prescription is all done on Sunday :)

Giving cats pills is a pain. Chance just finished up a week of antibiotics after having dental surgery and Gimli has to take pills daily for his asthma. Good times.

One of my cats is back on antibiotics for a sinus infection. Fortunately she gets liquid antibiotics and I've been able to train her to lick her medicine off my finger so I don't have to hold her down and squirt it down her throat, which is massively unpleasant for all involved. I don't think she likes it, but her grooming instinct is so strong that I think she can't stand the fact that I keep getting dirty. So she must keep cleaning me up when I shut her in that bathroom and can't seem to stop getting into trouble even in that small space. ;)

I had to sit on my male for the liquid antibiotics a while back.

He's kinda used to it though, I've sat on him every day for a couple years for his teeth brushing.

My cats had a swell day.

A pigeon flew against our window and subsequently sat on our balcony for a while to recover from his headache. Needless to say my cats were very interested; they were literally drooling at him. In the end I closed the curtains because I didn't want the pigeon to get even more traumatised.

Squirrels used to sit outside my window and tease the cats.

Perro saving me from the tyranny of the knots in the wood of the broom closet.

I love Perro's adventures. Keep posting them...

Where I lived before, I had a little porch with glass doors...My two cats, Julius and Giddy would sit and shiver at the birds...one Bluejay used to come tap at the door to tease them...Julius invariably tried to get him and ended up with a headache. He never did figure out that there was a barrier between them...the jay reminded me of those 2 magpies in the Windex commercial...he had just as much fun...

*contented sigh* I love it here. Everyone has such wonderful cats! It's great to see so many other people who "get it".

I'm glad all the felines who were under the weather are now on the road to recovery!

I caught Tasha (my other cat, who looks like a female version of Perro) drinking out of the toilet this morning after my last post. :cardie:
