Fantastic Four reboot-- Casting, Rumors, Pix, ect;

That helmet-bucket thing was actually first seen in one of the earliest issues, but I think he only used it once.

While not excited for this movie, the prospect of X v. FF does sound interesting. I'd be cool if the FF establish themselves in this movie and then have to go "stop" the X-Men for some reason.

Meh, I'd take the visuals of the Thor movies or Guardians over this.

Thor? Christ no, those movies are shite.

The first one's decent but the second one sucks ass. It's the worst MCU movie so far. The visuals are really nice in the second one but over all the movie stinks.
I was just talking purely the visuals. I thought the designs and visuals for Asgard in the both Thor movies was pretty cool. We got some pretty cool stuff with the different ship designs, the Nova homeworld, and Nowhere in Guardians of the Galaxy. FF appears to be pretty much just set in modern day NYC with some scenes set in barren deserty altenate dimension. Both Thors had some pretty cool armors and costumes for the Asgardians, and some pretty cool looking creatures and stuff, Guardians had tons of cool aliens. I think the Thing and Doom designs are OK for FF, but the suits aren't anything spectacular, and everything else appears to be pretty down to Earth.

I very much want to see a Fantastic Four movie set accurately in the 1960s.

When X-Men First Class came out, I remember hoping that the next FF film would be set in that timeframe too. I think X-Men/FF crossovers set in that era would've been fun.

Obviously with the X-movies jumping forward a decade at a time, that wasn't going to happen, leaving aside the decision to set this movie contemporaneously.

With comments about the potential storyline involving time travel, i'd kind of suspect it would be centered around Franklin Richards (who is also a mutant, iirc), so I doubt it would be about the xmen and the ff fighting each other. At most, they would have a serious disagreement on how to help Franklin.

My main problem would be that with it looking more and more like Apocalypse will also be screwing with the time stream, fox would be making that whole world look like an endless time travel franchise, possibly to the detriment of future movies. DoFP was already surprisingly confusing for some people - i'd be afraid 3 time travel movies in a row could cause an actually significant drop in audience numbers.

Movie's under a heavy review embargo.

Oh yeah, this isn't a bad sign at all. Everyone knows that movies that have good test and critic screenings always have long review embargoes, because pre-release hype is something movie studios hate, especially for a movie everyone has been questioning. I'm sure this is in no way a reaction to bad comments during screenings and/or a lack of faith in the movie by the studio :vulcan:

Extremely. It looks like it would take a miracle at this point for Fantfourstic to pull out of this dive.
