Ever given up on a game for technical or usability reasons?

I nearly stopped playing Fallout 3 for the PC altogether due to three game major bugs. The first was caused by a c*appy program that came with my Asus motherboard that would crash the game every time you started a new game (despite not having this problem with any other game). The second was where some textures (particularly on rocks) were all blurry for no reason. After messing with some of the settings the Catalyst Control Centre I got them to show up (despite having them set to default). The third one I noticed after I'd been playing the game for a few hours. Sometimes after entering a house or small area the game itself would just freeze, although the music would keep playing. It was really annoying. I found a solution on the Bethesda boards that involved editing a configuration file as Fallout 3 had 'problems' with quad core processors. The thing that really got me was this post was put up shortly after the game was released last year and yet they still hadn't fixed this bug or any of the other bugs since then. Fortunetly apart from some rare crashes the game works fine now.

I did give up on Sid Meier’s Railroads after the game ran very slowly on my older machine and had major graphical glitches that would only be solved (temporally) by alt-tabbing out of the game. Plus the fact that it wasn’t a very good game I gave up on it after a few hours. My older computer was well above the recommended specs as well.
