Holy fuck, that hurt. The best team won, no contest. Italy was tired and uninspired; Spain was stellar. When we lost Thiago Motta for injury I knew we were in for a bad evening: playing against Spain with a numerical disadvantage was simply terrifying.

In the end, I'm not terribly disappointed: we run a good tournament, played some fantastic games, and lost against the best team in the world. I can deal with it.

Can't believe Torres won the golden boot with only 1 start and goals scored in only 2 matches. This shows how average the attacking intent has been in Euro 2012 and it started so well
