Enterprise fan creations

One of our members has expressed interest in having a thread here for creators, and admirers, of Enterprise fanfiction, photoshop edits, music videos, and other artistic endeavors.

I know the creative juices were really flowing back in the day when the show was on the air, and we fans are certainly a creative bunch. That being said, we also used to have a weekly avatar contest here, but it died from lack of interest. :weep: But there are always stories and vids and artwork that have stood the test of time. We could have a thread for your own creations, old or new, and for works of others that you have enjoyed and want to share.

So what do y'all think? This is your forum. What say you?

Just for clarifications, there are already the Fan Fiction and Fan Art forums. Are you suggesting threads here within this Enterprise forum specific to this series? It could be one thread for all art concepts or two threads as previously mentioned. In either case, it seems like a good idea to me since ENT is still my #2 favorite series and I visit this forum as often as my own TNG.

As a newly fan (everything is relative ) after watching TATV I was so dissapointed and shocked. Same evening I ordered all the novels chronical after TATV, read them in couple of days, maximum with three hours sleep. We were at the end phase of a very important prestige project and as a responsible person it was very irresponsible. Even we had a great success, I felt guilty to my team, I have to admit. :sigh: More than this, it was horrible what I read, they were more unfair to ENT than TATV. I couldn't imagine that can be possible. I felt that I was betrayed. Well, I wanted to believe that I was so tired and didn't understand. I wanted to believe my lack of experience with Trek literature was the reason. So I read some recommended ST novels then read the last nine ENT novels again. It was :barf: than first time. Don't get me wrong, I don't say that not to read them, it is only my opinion, everyone has own his/her taste.

I never thought that I can be a passionate Fan Fiction reader. I read too many crazy stuff like T'Pau wants to have Trip for herself, T'Pol is in love with Major Hayes, Trip became servant of Mistress Beata from TNG episode Angel One, Soval married with Corporal Cole and so on.. Some of them were not my case, I could not read them to the end, some authors made more grammatical mistakes in English than me but, I have huge respect to all those people, all those stories. I am very thankful to them, they healed me from my frustration, from anger. While all these people tried to handle ENT narrative with respect, love and great passion. They spend hours, they gave their best, they helped each other as Betas or with their comments . :adore:
I detected too many youtubers who did similar things, even there is still a German lady who tries to bring ENT back. Unbelievable. :luvlove:

As I search further, I realized some of those creative people were also here. They posted some Fan Fictions, informed people about their new videos, their art works. It is really not easy to find all those germs at old, forgotten, closed threads. I think it would be very helpful to all Trek people, not only ENT fans, if we have a this kind of "archive" here. For me, both concepts are ok. Probably, we do not get too much feedback at the beginning, but in long term we would have enough stuff. What about ENT review videos? Are they relevant too?
Thank you for asking us about the structure of forum.

I was thinking something along the lines of the Voyager forum's creative works thread. Have a thread here that can serve as a heads-up to an ENT-specific post or thread in the Fan Art or Fan Fiction forum, or a Deviant Artist's site, or a story hosted at a fanfiction archive such as AO3, Fanfiction.net, etc. A link to music video on YouTube. Something you made yourself, or something made by another fan, credited of course. That sort of thing.

I don't see our little thread being as busy as the Voyager thread, which has new posts every day. But it might be useful for a new fan like sekundant, who felt cut off at the knees after ENT's sudden and extremely lame demise and wanted to see more, somewhere, by a fan who loved the show more than the Beebs or UPN. Anybody remember all the "finale fix" fanfic written after the show died? Or the Not.Dead Trip avatars? Shipper appreciation threads, picture threads? The lovely entries in our past avatar contests? (Making ENT avatars was my Photoshop education!) The great music videos? A lot of us needed cancellation therapy. :)

sekundant - review videos? Tell us more.

Gotta repost this awesome feature-length Enterprise-era fan film. The NX-01 only gets a tiny cameo, but there's the Romulan War and Future Guy. Definitely worth a watch:

The story was decent, but I really don't like how it looks like the lens had been smeared with vaseline, or smudged with finger prints.

:D Ohh, you cannot even wait until the decision about thread form @King Daniel Beyond! ST-Horizon is one of my favorite Fan production.

Someone said about youtube " to google something is soo out, young generation search the things via youtube" . It is true. Well, there are too many kind of reviews:
- Very typical, best of's or worst of's .. like:

-General reviews like " Was Star Trek Enterprise really that bad?" :

and there are also ENT products (DVD, Blu-Ray etc) or toy reviews. Not all reviewers are fair, since fairness not always sells like provocation. I watched once a review from a guy who only watched " Dear Doctor" and " Damage" and hates Archer and ENT to the marrow of his bones.

I know also some pod-cast channels and not only in English. :techman:

Mmmwell, reviews aren't exactly in the "creative works" category, since they are analyses.

But if we could offer our own feedback to artists whose works we share in this thread, that would work. Comments are virtually the only reward these hard-working writers, artists, and vidders get for pouring their souls into their creations and sharing them with us. Comments are priceless.

I drew a little Enterprise-poster a couple of weeks ago.
It's not perfect, but I like it nonetheless :)

Well, I can understand your point. Well, may be later we can discuss about another pinned thread for the analyses, if needed.

And we are getting our first art works from directly from "artist". :adore: @Starfury I like the poster. Especially, the details of Malcolm's phase pistol are awesome realistic.

Got to post this link for NX class and NX refit deck plans.
They are in color and very detailed. The guy rewatch enterprise for months to get every detail for the nx original and then for the refit he looked at every magazine and stuff online. They are high class. And best of all they are free.

pretty good movie considering it was low budget. And unlike the upcoming romulan war it is not documentary like though the romulan war fan film will look better since they had a fundraiser.

^^ The Waxing Moon Design site is awesome! I went there a million years ago back when I was writing fanfiction, and those deck plans helped me so much. The site was much simpler then, but the plans were outstanding. Great work.

That's the Klingon war. And considering the guy behind it is concurrently involved in 3 or 4 concurrent lawsuits, one of which is about ripping off a widow to the tune of $94,000 over the sale of an Enterprise model, one against his originally planned Axanar director Robert Meyer Burnett, and one with his former Axanar publicist owing him money, I doubt it's ever gonna get made.

It’s possible we are talking about a different projects. Because the project I’m talking about is definitely about the earth-romulan war. And it definitely seems like they are making this one.

And plus the head guy, mark naccarto, doesn’t seem to be involved in axanar. I mean I did read an article saying he teamed up with an axanar guy but every interview I’ve seen or read or heard has mark naccarto in charge.

My apologies, I'd not heard of that fan film until now.
