Randomly stumbled across a defunct user from 2014 named BMariner.
It could of course be a coincidence, but a BMariner on a Trek board well before the character officially existed strikes me as worthy of at least a mild, "Huh. Maybe?"

I think it's just a coincidence. Looking at BMariner's posts, they were only watching Enterprise for the first time in 2014? Doubtful. Mike McMahon is too much of a Star Trek fan to have waited over a decade to watch Enterprise.

Yeah, looking over those posts, I get the impression this BMariner is more of a casual fan. Even taking into account Mike McMahan might have gone through a phase where he wasn't as into Trek due to career and life stuff, I get the impression he would still have been a lot more devout than this particular poster was.

The two of the creators of the site also came up with the background info for the necklace Spock gives Uhura.

But Memory-Alpha being Memory-Alpha, none of that info made it into the wiki except as a background note, because it's never mentioned on screen.
