DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Supergirl is so tiny. She’s adorable.
Looks like the ArrowVerse is now called the Superman Universe. Makes sense I suppose

Flash looks... not as good as I was hoping. The suit looks awful. 90's awful. I realise they're trying to get away from Justice League but that suit was perfect. I hope the movie rocks, cos I've been hyped for ages.

The Batman looks enjoyable.

The Flash is probably at the bottom of my list right now, it looks good, but just not as good the others.
The Batman looks awesome.

Shazam 2 does come out until 2023 and to me it seemed we learned more about in than The Flash which is a little over a year away. I guess too many secrets to keep. Not a single frame looked like finished footage at all.

General DC Movie/movie related FanDome thoughts:

-The Batman: looks like slightly edgier Nolan stuff, so a worse version of a mediocre set of films. Will watch when the Public Library gets the DVD.

-The Flash: I don't give a crap about the Ezra Miller Flash (especially since Miller seems like an asshole in real life), but I am 100% here for Michael Keaton's Batman. Its like how I'm only excited for the next Spider-Man movie because of all the stuff not related to the "main" character. I'm definitely excited to see Keaton back, and the other multiverse stuff.

-Black Adam: I liked the teaser. Black Adam is evil (although he'll probably be an anti-hero in this film), so having him kill what look like mercs fits his personality. I'm interested in seeing more, especially of the JSA type stuff which has been mentioned (but wasn't in the teaser).

-Shazam 2 Fury of the Gods: I liked the first movie a lot, and this one seems to be on track to also be a very good movie. Interested in seeing Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren as the villains, and in seeing more with the whole Shazam family in general.

-Aquaman 2: I liked the first movie a lot, and this is also looking good. Black manta looks awesome, this is almost certainly going to be a good follow up.

-Peacemaker: I loved the character in The Suicide Squad, and the show looks awesome. Can't wait to see it.

-Batgirl and Blue Beetle concept art: I'm pretty neutral to these. Not particularly excited, but I'm not against them, either. I'm sure I'll check them out, but I'm not excitedly waiting for them like I am several other upcoming DC projects.

-DC Superpets: Looks like a standard little kid focused animated movie, with normal actors instead of real voice actors of course. I don't feel any anger toward it, but its a definite skip for me.

-Wonder Woman 3: Announced at fandome. WW1 was a great movie, WW1984 was absolute shit, one of the worst non-Snyder superhero films I've had to suffer through. I have no faith in Jenkins or Gadot anymore. This will definitely be a "watch free from Public Library" movie whenever it ends up coming out, and honestly of all the stuff announced I'm looking forward to this the least, even The Batman is more interesting to me then a third Patty Jenkins Wonder Woman film.

I didn't even realize that was Supergirl until reading this. Watching the teaser I thought they recast Iris and that was like an alternate reality/future where she had speed powers.

I could only see the red parts of her costume, so I thought she and the other person behind Barry were both alternate-reality Flashes.

In fall 2022 DC will release its first-ever fully CG animated movie Battle of the Super Sons. And in the winter a complete edition of Batman: The Long Halloweenwill be released in 4K.

There will also be a new Constantine short premiering early in 2022 with Matt Ryan, who has played the live-action version of the character in various DC shows, reprising his role for the short.

Same, but that's because I also completely forgot Supergirl was in this.

I wonder if the scene filmed with Ezra and Grant Gustin will, in some shape or form, make it into this movie.

I think there's a good chance it will be. Apparently, it was big corporate WB muckety-mucks who approached the Arrowverse producers about incorporating that scene in "Crisis," and not the other way around.

I'm guessing the "Caped Crusader" series will premiere after the release of the Batman movie. I hope Paul Dini will inject his talents in this series because his stories were very interesting.
