DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

I personally would have just liked a movie where he faces his Rogues. The TV show never did the Rogues as a group and so its uncharted territory.

I agree, a Flash vs. Rogues movie would be cool. I get the impression that the just-begun final season of the show has a Rogues-centric arc, given that it opened by introducing a new Captain Boomerang. But I wish they'd done the Rogues as the collective main threat for season 2 or 3 instead of doing three speedster nemeses in a row.

I just love how this looks.

"Yeah. Yeah. Just say it. I'm Batman"

The Flash poster makes me think it's missing the "Catch new episodes on the CW" tagline

Thankfully, the film does not have that association.

There’s Crisis. :)

Good point. There's other Flash arcs from the 70s that were memorable--its just that he was not granted as many as say, Batman or Green Lantern.

There's Flash of Two Worlds, which all multiverse stories are indebted to. :D

Very good point.

Going back to the SHAZAM! name thing, Mark Waid, who will write the upcoming new comic series, has revealed that the character will be referred to as The Captain in the comics for the time being, while he himself can't help but use the name Captain Marvel.

It’s a shame WB had to resort to their old trucks of adding boring Batman to things. I personally would have just liked a movie where he faces his Rogues. The TV show never did the Rogues as a group and so its uncharted territory.
This story does feel like a third movie of this was a trilogy.
The 1966 Batman film pretty much had all of his Rogues working together as a gang and on a submarine.;)

So super girl is taking tbe Superman place in Flashpoint. And Zod invading takes place of the Amazon Atlantis war.. And an older Bruce (might be Thomas?) Wayne

But looking at the trailer.. Very Heavy reliance on CGI.. :brickwall: half the shots of OG bats were cg ..boo

Despite the phrasing, thribs was no doubt referring to the Flash's Rogues (e.g. Captain Cold, Heatwave, Trickster, Captain Boomerang, Weather Wizard, etc.), who are traditionally a close-knit community in the comics but who were never really featured as a group in the TV series.

They should have got Grant Gustin to play the other Flash. Would have been a nice follow up to Crisis.

Hopefully we will see the mirror of what we saw on the CW. When Ezra Miller first said "multiverse" I dismissed it as a ploy for those of us disappointed at the missed crossover opportunity (at the time).

But I audibly cheered when I saw the DCFU version in Crisis.

It would be amazing to see it in the film (or if needed, even a end credit scene)

It would be fun if Grant had a cameo.

I used to suspect they were going to reuse the same scene of Gustin & Miller meeting from Crisis in the Flash movie. But with all the upheavals and reshoots, there's no telling if that would still be the plan, if it ever was.

The Flash trailer was pretty cool. As annoyed as I was that they were redoing Flashpoint, it looks like they're taking a very different approach from the TV version, so at least it won't feel like we've seen it before.
Loved seeing more of Keaton back in the Batsuit, although I am a little surprised they didn't go for a less stiff version of it.
Zod being such a big part of the movies I surprise, I think I do remember hearing about Micheal Shannon being back, but I just assumed it would be for some kind of small cameo.
So it looks like this is a universe with just Supergirl and no Superman. I wonder if they'll address whether Kal-El existed in that universe and something stopped him from coming to Earth or if he just never existed at all.

Rumor has it
that Zod successfully destroyed baby Kal-El's ship as it was departing Krypton, unlike in Man of Steel.

Since that was a major complaint by Keaton back in the day, I'd be surprised if it isn't more mobile than is shown in the trailer.

So could she be the person who was in that open pod in MoS? Except here she didn’t leave Earth but was captured.

I think people are too focused on whatever Snyder and I think some promotional tie-in comic said vis-a-vis that open pod and Supergirl. Nothing in Man of Steel the actual film is suggestive of that. Plus that Kryptonian craft had been buried for umpty-ump bajillion years, whereas Kara here is obviously young (physically younger than Cavill's Clark). I suspect she will have some variation on a more traditional comics origin (e.g., launched from Krypton before its destruction but trapped in stasis for a while), with the main difference being that she was captured and imprisoned upon her arrival on Earth.
