Christmas 2022. It has begun.

Uh, no. Christmas always begins on December 25th, and always ends January 5th (Epiphany eve, or "Twelfth Night"). And in 2022, Advent began on November 27th (it always begins sometime between November 27th and December 3rd, inclusive).

Think liturgically. Despite what Lucy Van Pelt so famously said, Christmas is not "a big commercial racket . . . run out of Chicago." And so long as you think liturgically, cards and presents are not late, so long as they arrive before Epiphany.

True. The Twelve Days of Christmas are Dec. 25 thru Jan. 5, with the season of Epiphany beginning on the 6th.

Of course for me, since January is a cold dark drizzly gray month in the Northwest, I keep the decorations up for awhile longer after that.
