Seeing the Guardian of Forever return in "Discovery" was a treat. And though I wasn't a fan of "Enterprise," I enjoyed the reveal that Kovich was Daniels. Still, there were other characters I wish had popped up, or at least received a mention.
If a new work continued the adventures of the reborn Starfleet in the 32nd Century, there'd be some great potential to revisit some immortal or long-lived characters, and see how they've evolved over the centuries. Since many of these characters are shapeshifters or holograms, actors being old or deceased would be only a mild hindrance. And for an animated work or a novel, no hindrance at all.
Some old faces I'd love to see:

Some old faces I'd love to see:
- The backup-Doctor from the "Voyager" episode "Living Witness," which was set in the 31st Century. The episode ends with him journeying home.
- The actual Doctor from Voyager. Why not?
- Odo. Did we learn anything about the fate of the Dominion in the 32nd Century?
- Dax. The Dax symbiont would likely be retired, and the size of a whale (according to the books anyway). But it would be great for Adira Tal to share some memories with Dax and see a few of Dax's post-Ezri hosts.
- Captain Braxton. Supposedly time travel is banned in the 32nd Century, but that doesn't mean time travelers from the past can't still travel forward in time.
- Wesley Crusher. "Prodigy" has pretty much turned him into a Time Lord, so why not.
- Suspiria. What's she done with her evolved Ocampans by the 32nd Century?
- Lady Q. She rocked.
