I recently discovered this show, and I think I've watched almost all the old ones now too thanks to DVR. Anyone else seen this? There are some crazy stories on this show.
Basically two people are dating online, one of them is very secretive and refuses to meet the other in real life. The show hosts come in and find out what the person is hiding, and in the end the two people meet. The classic secret is that the person is far less attractive than they claimed to be, but many weirder things have happened too.
Did anyone see tonights episode? A guy was dating a girl online. She also had a boyfriend in real life who she was too scared of to break up with. They did find out that the picture posted online of the girl was fake. But when they finally met up a crazy and very angry man arrived instead. The guy claimed he was the girl and seemed to invent this story on the spot that he had done it as a very crazy sociology experiment. The hosts basically took his word for it and made him out to be a very crazy person.
The obvious answer to me though was that he was the controlling and crazy boyfriend of the girl who had been dating the man online. He thought up this bizarre story on the spot to keep his girlfriend away from her online romance. Did anyone else see this and think the same thing?
