Brooks & Dunn to Retire After 2010 Tour

As posted on their website, Brooks & Dunn are calling it quits as a duo after their next tour in 2010.

They are one of my favorite bands, and I'm sad that there will be no new music or tours from them. I will definitely be there next year when they roll through AZ. Depending on what they have planned and where it is, I may try to hit the last tour stop as well.

How long have they been around? I've been listening to modern country music for two years now and am liking artists like Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, etc.

I live in the SF Bay Area and listen to 95.7 The Wolf radio station (they have on-line streaming broadcast, too).

EDIT:

How could I have forgotten Carrie Underwood?

Maybe like 1990 or 1991? A little bit cookie-cutter country, but they were entertaining. At least, provided it was Brooks singing and not Ronnie Dunn.

They've been around as a duo since about 1990 and as solo acts for a brief period prior to that.

The main reason I like them is for the songs, but they also have a great energy and sense of humor in concert. I would recommend the albums Hard Workin' Man and Steers and Stripes to anyone who is interested in checking out this phenomenal duo.
