Bridge Commander mods?

I've been thinking about busting out Bridge Commander which I haven't really played since I completed it when it came out. I hear people saying its got a whole new lease of life thanks to fan-made mods so can anyone give me a quick rundown of the best/most essential ones to get and where to find them?

With the many incredible mods, Bridge Commander is still one of the best Trek games out there (eons better than the disaster that was "Star Trek: Legacy" ... ugh.)

I got it all sorted out and I'm playing it. It really is terrific in comparison. Currently I'm loving playing as the Defiant and ripping through squadrons of Jem-Hadar Attack Ships... great fun, with the pulse phasers and all.

I also like the bridge designs besides the E-D, E-E and so forth and getting some original ones in there.

My favorite bridge design has become the E-E. The renovated E-E, not stock. Very cool looking and similar to the last time we saw it in Nemesis.

My friend downloaded Kobyashi Maru for me but couldn't get it to work. I didn't even own the game. He'd lent me his copy then one day after class he comes over and says "I'm downloading a Bridge Commander mod for you, you have no say in this" and he came into my room and downloaded it onto my computer. (I trust him).

What I hate about the game is the fact that you can't use bridge view in multiplayer. I got my ass handed to me the one time I tried it. They didn't even bother helping when I asked them in chat.

Bridge view is kind of useless. The only time I use it is when I'm about to get destroyed. The explosion effects and people flying around is cool.

Bridge view is the only way I know how to play the game. (Unlike my friend, who can only play in the outside view. He knows how to use bridge view, but is alot more comfortable with the outside view)

Yeah my only complaint in BC is that the outside view is a lot more versatile than the bridge view. I was sort of hoping to not have to fly the ship myself when the game was announced. Now its a great space sim, but I was hoping for a new kind of game which we didn't really get.

I don't think it does have a widescreen option. I've recently played this game for the first time, once through, and am looking into the NanoFX...
A great game overall. I doubt it will be ripping along at 1600x1200 with the new graphics. Gotta try it though...I see the screenshots with the crewmembers flying over their consoles...nice!

I found a fix for the widescreen. Just have to change the height and width in the options.cfg file. :)
