That Weirdo In The Corner

Has anybody else have this happen to them? I ordered a new Macbook Air and it was shipped quickly and since then I has been in 4 countries most of them more than once, I'm in the Uk by the way.

Not a macbook air, but i bought a laptop off ebay a while back.

Its route was: USA-California, USA-West Virginia, USA-Florida, Great Britain, France, Norway, Sweden(Malmö), Sweden(Göteborg), Sweden(Stockholm), and finally the local post office 30km south of Stockholm.

Now i have no bloody clue what the hell they were doing or why they shipped it all over the place. USA-Great Britain-Sweden is the normal route.

For some reason, I'm laughing at That Weirdo In The Corner who ordered a MacBook Air.

Because...why would you want a MacBook Air?

Was it the 11" or 13"?

Has anybody else have this happen to them? I ordered a new Macbook Air and it was shipped quickly and since then I has been in 4 countries most of them more than once, I'm in the Uk by the way.

A friend of mine bought a bag, from somewhere in France. It went to the UK, Germany, Sweden, and when they couldn't find the address the first time, went back to Germany and UK, to take the same trip to Sweden again, this time arriving where it should.

They got confused by a Ö, apparently.

^ indeed. with brits or yanks, somehow Södertälje becomes soudertaelje. i have no clue why, Sodertalje is a lot simpler...

One would think. My name is Mårten, it sometimes becomes Maarten, when the extra e is quite redundant.

Thinking about getting the 11" Macbook Air for my wife, need to replace her Macbook. She uses her iPad a lot but when she has to do heavy typing, she uses the wireless keyboard. So thinking this would be great for when she needs something a little more then the iPad.

I have a powerful 15' Dell laptop and I just don't use the power. I want something small and light, I'd also like to "dick about" with OSX, I've had a few hackintoshes and want to try out the real thing.

That route makes some sort of directional sense though, moving from one hub to another in the right direction. The OP's bizarre circular game of international pass-the-parcel would leave me worrying someone's really screwed up the labelling on the package. :wtf:

My wife only really uses her Macbook to write documents, make a few powerpoint and surf the net. She doesn't like to carry around her Macbook, because it is heavy. So she uses her iPad mostly outside of the house. Which is perfect for her, she throws it in her bag and off she goes. However when she needs to type documents of length, she takes the wireless keyboard. Which defeats the reason of having the iPad. So I thought something like the 11" Macbook Air would be perfect for her. Her Macbook needs to be replaced, she has had it for several years and it is just past its prime. The Macbook air is only slightly heavier then the iPad. So that will make her extremely happy.

Eh at least your product is moving. I've had a package arrive in town and sit in a warehouse for three days for no reason. Yeah it still arrived within the quoted time but did they really have to taunt me by showing my stuff sitting 8 miles away for three days?

I think it's more likely that the problem is with the reporting element of the tracking system. It looks like Koeln is recorded as the package's location whenever the brokerage there takes action to move the package through customs. My guess as to the actual progress of the box:

That makes a hell of a lot more sense.
