Nope, I believe they're referring to Erica's grade school teacher in episode 1, season 1.
Thanks for sharing. I disagreed with her initial argument that a person without regrets is basically a sociopath. It looks like she cleared things up a bit at the end though when she made the distinction between having regrets and letting them get to you and stay with you. She didn't quite say that but she was almost there, and that I can get behind. I'm of the opionion that while awareness of the past and on bad things can be helpful, dwelling on them or letting them occupy your thoughts is never good. Pain may be a necessary component to life, but suffering through pain isn't necessary. What's the difference between pain and suffering? As someone here once pointed out...[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka8L1YMR88U[/yt]
Fascinating stuff. Doesn't look like we missed anything big. The only thing on that list I knew about was the show's original title being The Session. Here's a rather interesting article about things that could have happened but didn't. It's interesting about "You Oughta Know", however I disagree that it would have been more contraversial. I kind of feel the whole Britney Spears thing made it all that much funnier in the grand scheme of things.

I don't remember the first season being filmed. I only found out about it around December 2008 when CBC started advertising the show. I didn't know what it was about either. What got my attention was Erin Karpluk, who was on Godiva's.Yeah, I remember when the first season was still being filmed and that it was originally called The Session. I think they only came out with Being Erica at the last minute.
Any indication of whether there'll be a season 5? This episode had me tearing up a few times.
