Bates Motel season 2 thread--spoilers of course

The new boyfriend really has gone to seed since Alias.

It's like he was off doing something out of the spotlight during the last days of his sexiness.

I started watching this show from the beginning again. So good. I think Dylan has the highest body count so far though. lol

That's true. Dylan killed Ford and that dude he ran down with his pickup truck last season who'd shot his partner. Norma has only killed whatshisname who raped her.

Nope. If you count the accidental death of Cody's dad, Norman has three. Him, Miss Watson and the late Mr. Bates. 3, 2, and 1 for the Massett/Bates family death count so far. :D

No, wait a minute. Dylan killed the guy in the truck who was shooting at Zane on the street that day. So he's got at least three, too. My bad.

Dylan: tweaker kid, Deputy Shelby, Nick Ford, And did he kill that guy in the truck? so 3 for sure possibly 4.

Norma: Summers and, when I rewatched the first episodes I thought that Norma killed her husband. So 1 and possibly 2

Norman: Miss Watson for sure, Cody's dad and it's still possible he killed his father. So 2 and possibly 3.

Dylan is obviously the psycho in this family. Maybe he kills them both and takes both their identities? :guffaw:

Ironically, I think Dylan's the sanest member of the family. He just keeps finding himself in very bad situations, due to his screwed-up family and poor choice of career.

Think about it:

Dylan killed Ford in self-defense, after the man kidnapped his brother.

Norman killed Miss Watson because she took her clothes off and had sex with him.

I think it's clear who the psycho is . . . :)

Oh, we know who the psycho is. Last night made that crystal clear.

Norman didn't kill Blair Watson. Mother did. Mother is fully in play. The finale wrapped up some extraneous storylines nicely. Zane and his loser sister are taken care of. Nick Ford is no longer around to threaten Norma and the Sheriff and Dylan have an "understanding." I was impressed.

Freddie Highmore is possessed by the spirit of Anthony Perkins' performance. He was bat shit scary in that last shot....but I'm sure he wouldn't have even swatted a fly. ;) Creepy as hell the way he and his mom danced. Just have intercourse and be done with it. Major "ewwwwwwww" factor. :wtf:

I defy anyone to say they didn't tear up a little when Dylan was so moved by the fact that Norma bought him a ticket. Her calling him a miracle was such a shameless "awwwwww" moment but the actors made it work. I still say that Norman will turn on him because, sooner or later, he'll perceive Dylan as replacing him in "mother's" affections. He's the "other man" and I'm sticking with that. The dynamic between Dylan/Norma and Norman/Norma is so jarringly different. Dylan and Norma are almost healthy considering the circumstances of his birth. Norman and Norma? Ewwww.... :guffaw:

I loved that moment with Dylan and Norma. They played it perfectly.

How long till Norma realizes that her son is now the most powerful man in town? That was an interesting twist.

{{{GASP}}}

Did NOT see that coming, yet.

Norman attempts to kill Norma and himself with the heating system. Alex discovers them but it appears he is too late to revive Norma.

THIS SEASON HAS BEEN AIRING?!?! I didn't know that! I never saw a single commercial or online mention! Damn it!!! :brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

I could have sworn I looked it up a few months ago and saw it was airing in the summer :wah:

Well, my cable VOD has 405 to present... I guess I'll just have to miss the first four episodes... :angryrazz:

And we're heading up on the season finale already.

And, without getting too spoilery, we need to revise some of those body count figures . ...

i really haven't liked this season very much. honestly, i'm more interested in Dylan and Emma than Norman and his mother irritating one another to death.

Creepy finale. Does anybody know if the show has been renewed for another season?

In a pinch, last night's ep could serve as as the series finale, but it seemed like maybe they're were setting something up with the dysfunctional funeral home family, just in case . . ...

Just caught up and finished the season. WOW. Those last two episodes were incredible (and creepy). I always assumed the final episode would be Norman killing his mother; I never expected it in the penultimate episode of the penultimate season!!! Nothing's creepier than Dead Norma on the couch with her eyes open *shudder* And when he ran up stairs to blow out his brains, and then the piano starts playing... wow. That was beautiful. And creepy.

Wow, they went full-out psychopath this season. I wasn't really expecting such a dark turn so quickly.
