Astronaut Suit - Enterprise or Doctor Who

Thinking Enterprise has the best astronaut suit, better than Doctor Who. What are thoughts? Is the Star Trek Enterprise Space Suit more great than the Doctor Who Ones...?

That looks suspiciously like a boiler suit with oven mitts and a helmet.

Sadly I can't unsee the Stargate Altantis guest-alien suit that the SGU space suit is a reuse of.

It's really cool though.

the Dr Who Satan Pit suit he wore off and on for a few seasons looked interesting in an industrial way.
favorite fictional space suit would probably be the Interstellar suits though just about anything from The Expanse looks good.
I never minded the enterprise suits. they're interesting.

Quite a few 2001 touches there, with the visor angle and backpack and chestpack angles and all; a good "period piece". It's also surprisingly functional, so that the characters can actually be shown taking it off or putting it on without revealing any duct tape or other jury-rigging. This is generally difficult to achieve on the cheap...

I primarily appreciate the shiny coppery material, though. It kept well for four years and looked great in all types of lighting.

Now the worst tv space suit ever.. that's interesting. I think Trek has a shot at that one with the TOS suit. It's in a life or death strugle with the original Tomorrow People space/hyperspace suit. The TOS suit may win out as overall as it might be useful for beekeeping.

Points going for it:

- It looks spacey.
- It provides life support for hours upon hours.
- It doesn't stop a hypospray from being applied.
- It doesn't look heavy or clumsy, yet it doesn't balloon in vacuum, either.

Points against it:

- No vision to the sides whatsoever (but great vision out of the back of your head!).
- Removing the helmet leaves a protruding doodad ready to protrude into your eye.

I like the design of the Enterprise series spacesuit better than the one from the Tholian web.

I like the ENT series ones the best, then the First Contact/VOY ones and then TOS. Although I like the DSC ones the more I see them. The TOS ones just don't look right and I can't put my finger on it. Although being porous to a hypospray makes it useless as a spacesuit lol (I know it's just tv)

TMP, TWOK suits are my favorite followed by First contact and ENT. my only real complaint about the ENT suits is they are not easy to see. Working in space you'd want them to be very easy to see in case you got stranded.
