I'm not surprised at all that none of the really critical questions were chosen. The reason the last 5 weren't sent to Abrams is probably because there weren't any canned responses for them.

Yep, those behind Memory Alpha probably went all starry-eyed at his offer. Then unable to let a really tough question slip through, otherwise JJ Abrams' gesture would've switched from an outstretched hand, to a middle finger...

I didn't participate, but am disappointed that question about the film rendering the whole site an irrelevance didn't make the shortlist.

Yeah it sucks that Abrams doesn't want to sit through fanboy whining and bitching about how he violated teh cannon!!

Yeah, it's not like anything could have just been constructively critical and not "whining".

I wish I'd noticed this a week ago.

I'd have loved to ask him if a certain BIG difference he's brought about will be addressed in later stories, if he has anything to say about it, or if it'll be just left as is but not mentioned again.

Many of you no doubt know the "BIG difference" I'm talking about, and no, I don't mean Uhura having the wrong number of runs in her stockings.
