Who's the guy wearing it?

Based on Astra's posts in the Action Figure thread, I believe it is Alfred from the TV series Gotham.

(Sorry for jumping in, @Astra , I'm not sure how often you're on, and I figured if I knew the answer, I might as well share. I hope you don't mind.)

It is! Alfred Pennyworth, played by Sean Pertwee, the son of Third Doctor Jon Pertwee, I want to add. And the most nicest guy (I have met him twice)
There will be a proper "Alfred sitting under palm trees sipping a cocktail wearing a flower chain" picture in the action figure thread, but I am still waiting for something to arrive before I can do it.

No worries! I was asleep in Germany ;)
I am the same, always ready to help.

Camp NaNoWriMo started yesterday (the writing contest where you write a novel in 30 days). The Camp events let you choose your own goal, so it doesn't have to be 50,000 words like the main even in November.

If anyone else is into this, let me know. It helps to have writing buddies. :)

Always fancied giving that a go, but I couldn’t commit to reading a book in a month, let alone writing one.

Two thousand words or so a day, 30 days, seems manageable.

Maybe when the kids are less needy, less noisy, and less in the house.

The November event is doable if you keep to a daily count of 1667 words/day (keeping in mind that you should do extra to account for possible differences in how the NaNo site does word count and how your own program does it). 2000/day is a good goal.

The Camp events are more flexible, though. I consider them a warmup for the November event, so I push myself enough that it's a challenge, but not so much that it's too stressful.

My first time of acrylic painting! I finally did something with the paints I bought ages ago! This picture is a bit naive but it was mainly done to learn different techniques how to apply the paint.

For the background I mixed light and dark blue with black, scooped it up with the brush and drew straight lines, letting the colors mingle. The snow in the foreground was dotted on. I wanted to spray the stars but it didn't work as intended. The trees in the background are done with a dry brush.

For the big tree I put green, black and white right onto the paper and then mixed it on there. I loved that effect.
I guess what I really need to learn is when to leave a painting well alone and declare it done. It's very easy to overdo. I probably shouldn't have added the lights but it was the image I had in my head so it had to be done.

Anyway, I had a very relaxing morning.
