I figured. I'm just so used to hearing "Shayera" from the Justice League animated version that "Chayara" is hard to get used to.
Whatever age group you want to label it as belonging to, the point is that the melodrama exists, and it's immature, sophomoric, and annoying. You know that I don't have a lot of kind words for Gotham these days, but Bruce acts more mature than the adults on Arrow...including those as old as Det. Lance.
I don't see why. Oliver is lying to her after promising to stop doing that. We understand why, although I don't even then think it's the right choice. How is she supposed to trust him?
Oliver just had his entire life turned upside down by finding out that he has a 9 year old son, and before he even gets a chance to take off his shoes from his first meeting with the kid, Felicity is already screaming at him about not trusting her and possibly breaking up with him? Like Oliver said, he's entitled to some time to process the changes to his life before he shares what's going on.
On the other hand, in the new timeline, Oliver's being a dumbass by not telling her about his kid. Felicity knows how to keep a secret. I guess no matter what timeline we're in we need some shitty CW relationship drama to keep the ratings up.

Had she given him that time, would he have told her? He basically told her "no he wouldn't." She's supposed to be there for him. He's supposed to trust her to help him process it. But he doesn't do that.

Felicity lied. She agreed to give him that time, then she turned on a dime, got nosy about it, and freaked out.

I have no reason to question the parents in felicity's childhood but there's a reason her mum is single.

Like the showmakers are going to kill their favorite character...yeah, right. They might put her in a wheelchair to further her resemblance to Oracle...that would be good for some angst.
I found it a bit hard to believe that she somehow managed to get all shot up and Ollie didn't get nicked, even though he was lying on top of her and then even more exposed while taking control of the car.

I gather that automatic weapons fire is pretty unpredictable, because there's no way to aim the bullets. Generally that kind of continuous fire is used more for suppression (to keep people from being able to move out from cover) than actual killing, although I suppose it's somewhat easier to hit targets that are boxed in like in a limousine. Still, with randomly fired bullets and a moving target, there's no guarantee that the target will be hit, even with a whole bunch of bullets flying. It probably would've been more efficient to come up to the doors, shoot out the locks, and pop the passengers in the head at point-blank range. But then you couldn't have had the heroic getaway.
Anyway, didn't the flashforward in the premiere say it was 6 months in the future? This is only 3 months later. True, Barry did say he missed the funeral because he was dealing with Zoom, but would he really wait 3 months before showing up? Not to mention that Zoom hasn't been engaging him directly lately. So I don't think Felicity's the one who ends up in that grave, unless she's, like, in a coma for the next 3 months.
I was expecting that the fake Green Arrow would turn out to be Roy. I thought I'd read that he'd be making a return appearance at some point. I wasn't expecting Malcolm to play along to that extent, but I guess he really would do anything for Thea.
Anyway, I'm tickled at how the whole "holiday party" thing is bound to infuriate the "War on Christmas" paranoids. Oh, no, other people have traditions of their own, it's the end of civilization!
I can't see them killing off Felicity. She's the heart of this show and the main source of exposition. I suppose they could try and replace that function with Curtis, but I honestly doubt it.
That said, I *do* think the funeral we saw Barry show up late for was Felicity's. After all, Darhk can't keep going after her if he thinks she's already dead, no?
