Hi, I was wondering if anyone know of a site or so for custom made dvd covers or art for ds9? I have all my ds9 dvd's in normal dvd cases and not the original case. Ie first season is 7 cases etc.

Now what I'd like to do would be to have a nice picture and cut it so I have a strip of it on every spine of the case so they form the art when put together. If anyone know of a site with fitting trek art etc I'd really appreciate it

Here's my personal favorite. There are others, which are similar...

http://www.rixgrafix.com/

He has a pretty wide variety of cover art on there... multiple choices for various shows, too.

But I think that THIS is probably the best fit for what you're looking for, isn't it?

or, if you're really a ship fan and have ALL the series...

Well, I've ordered the cases from USPlastics and I've always been happy with what I've gotten. Quick, quality, and friendly folks there (ie, no hassles). And not all that expensive, either. So it's not really all that big of a deal, IMHO.

Glad to be of service. :D

Well, that's "advertising" graphics... I the real set doesn't have that effect. ;) Nor is the big "set label" across the top (saying "ships of the line collection") on the actual spines.

Go to Rick's site and you can see what each individual one looks like, and can download the high-res stuff once you know what you want.

I've told Rick I'd gladly pay for 'em, but he doesn't charge. I have no idea why not... maybe it has to do with the fact that he uses this as advertising for his "real" graphics arts business?

He does have a "Donation" link on his site. That way he can offset the expense of running the site without formally charging for downloads. Likewise, since donating is voluntary, no one can accuse him of selling the covers and hitting him with some kind of copyright/intellectual property crap.

Um... rotate them 90 degrees? (I just buy legal-size glossy paper for 'em myself.)

Better yet, take 'em to Kinkos (or wherever) and get 'em printed on glossy paper via a color laser printer. That way they'll be more colorfast than your home printer will be.

Be careful with bringing them to Kinko's. Depending on who you encounter, they can be real strict about printing stuff that even LOOKS copyrighted, so don't be surprised if they turn you away.

That much was obvious to me. If not for the fact V'ger looked *too* 3D and it didn't have the box seperation lines on it.

;)
