Any good movies about masons and secret societies?

"Murder by Decree," a Sherlock Holmes movie starring Christopher Plummer.

The Masons also figure into the plot of "The Man Who Would be King" with Sean Connery and Michael Caine.

The "National Treasure" movies, while focusing mostly on the Templars, have some Masonic references in them. Other good ones have already been mentioned.

Then there are those movies that tenuously use Masonry as a laughable scapegoat plot-point for acts of extreme eeeeevil, such as: Lone Star, From Hell, League of Extraordinary Gentleman & Rosewood.

^ I believe it was left up to the audience to decide who they were. "Angels and Demons" deals with the Illuminati. "The DaVinci Code" as implied above. "The Skulls" deals with Skull and Bones.

Any mason here who could identify the robes?

The closest thing I was able to gather about that is that it was supposed to be a "Hellfire Club"-style organization. Not affiliated with Masonry in any way; considered clandestine and unrecognized.

Insofar as it is a private fraternity with rituals, signs, grips and words of recognition, I suppose the two are similar in that respect. For that matter, so are the Lions, Rotarians, Elks, Orioles and other such fraternal clubs. Beyond that, no. Skull and Bones is a fraternity that was started at, and local to, Yale University and membership is by invitation only. Masonry is an international fraternity (much older than the fore-mentioned clubs) and does not recognize the Skulls as an appendant or affiliated body, nor is membership in Masonry by invitation only. Anyone can join if they ask and they know two Masons to vouch for their good character (ideally, for at least a year).

Yep, and they'll be making The Lost Symbol, which features the masons heavily.

I remember seeing a black and white movie that portrayed masons as an evil cabal. Any idea about the title?

But they wouldn’t let me join, the blackballing bastards!

I have an instructional video on building your own backyard barbecue, but I've never watched it...
