Ambassador Sarek and Winona Kirk

Assuming Winona Kirk was widowed or divorced by the time Amanda Grayson died, I had this weird idea that Sarek and Winona could start a relationship and have a daughter, making Spock and Kirk step-siblings with a baby half-sister.

Is that the stupidest idea ever?

Have the crew cross over to a parallel universe where George Kirk and Amanda Grayson marry and have a kid, while still being active in Starfleet/the Federation and that’s possibly the plot for ST4.

Not even close. However, the "small universe" effect which is already a nagging part of Star Trek would become that much more conspicuous.

Let the universe breathe. It still works just fine if everyone and everything isn't that closely connected to everyone and everything else.

They have post-Nero widowhood in common. It's not impossible that they might meet at a memorial or some such event, separate from their sons both serving on the Enterprise.

Oh, I understand you just fine.

I am just debating at laughing myself silly over the idea that "on the nose" is somehow new to "modern Star Trek." I find that idea laughable at best.

In the Kelvinverse, there's a bit of a feeling that Vulcans are going to need to marry other Vulcans in order to ensure the survival of the species.

Especially 100% Vulcans. Spock's already diluted so maybe not ideal (unless something about his Human side provides some desirable quality Vulcans need for their survival.)
