Ambassador Class Reimagined, take two!

So this is a follow up from a five year-old thread of mine here:

I felt it was time to revisit the design. I've always loved the Ambassador.

I like it... but that would act more like an Ambassador class refit.
The canon iteration had shorter phaser strips (though we don't know if this was by design, or because of technical limitations at the time).
If it was due to technical limits, then it stands to reason a unified phaser strip that stretches across the saucer without interruption was possible after more R&D... in which case, this reimagined version could easily act as a more modern refit.

The only thing that puts me off it are the relatively square looking pylons (which is present in the canon version too). One of the reasons is because it seemingly breaks up the 'flow of the design - so it would make more sense if the lower curvature of the pylons is similar to the one on the Galaxy class and less square looking (but that's just my own personal opinion).

I agree with you - I assume the square shape was quicker to fabricate in time for filming, but it always looked clunky to me
