I can't believe it's taken me this long to remember the scene where Dex hits Paul with the skillet.

And I can't believe whoever uploaded this video edited out the best part: Dex's expression afterwards! :rommie:

If only Mark Pelligrino weren't busy playing Jacob and Satan. I'd love to see him back on the show, regardless of what crazy excuse they needed to use.
Paul was killed but Satan resurrected him when he possessed the body, now when Satan's off doing his Satan-y plotting and scheming, etc. Paul's body is free to do its own thing.

"MillenniuM"
"Somehow Satan Got Behind Me"
-- "You must be so proud..."
-- The devils arguing in the diner.
-- How worthless life is the fat guy just jumping out of his window.

I think it was one of the most perfect endings and I think because Blackadder was an extremely funny sitcom the sombre ending was all the more powerful. I cannot think of a better the show could have ended.

Nor could I. Sheer brilliance.

"MillenniuM"
"Somehow Satan Got Behind Me"
-- "You must be so proud..."
-- The devils arguing in the diner.
-- How worthless life is the fat guy just jumping out of his window.

That whole episode is one big memorable moment.

Also?

My absolute favourite scene is in "Babylon Five": "Sleeping in Light", when the last shuttle leaves the station, and the entire Alliance fleet is lined up outside. Then the ships all start turning away, following the shuttle out...I was in tears all the way through my first viewing Sleeping in Light, but that scene still sends shivers down my spine. It's beautiful and dignified in a way I wouldn't expect shots without people in them to be.

Fraser accidently setting his dad's chair on fire and almost hitting him with as they threw it off the bacony.

.

I still laugh just thinking of that scene.

ST:TNG BOBW part 1-"Mr. Worf- fire." Almost 20 years later, it still gives me chills.

Lost- Locke being pushed out of the window by his dad. I actually jumped up yelling "Holy F***!" when that happened.

EDIT - The other fav TV thread vanished since this pre-existing one was around, so here is my post from that thread. :-)

I love Dexter as well, and those above were some great moments, I also liked when Dexter admits his issues to his shrink in season 1.

Another recent show I love is the UK Life on Mars, which is memorable start to finish. the Live and Let die swim trunks chase from the second episode was memorable for me.

And since there was a laundry list of sorts for Dexter, I think I'll compile a few clips for Twin Peaks.

Cooper's introduction - This is one of the best introductions to a character ever, and is especially effective after the mournful first 30 minutes or so of the pilot

Albert pisses everyone off - in fairness, Albert always pissed everyone off, but this was the height of the character's greatness. His rant about "Dullards, Dunces and Dumbells" is one of the greatest insults I've ever heard on television.

SPOILERS! Killer revealed. - Twin Peaks had a lot of comedy, but it could be downright violent and depressing when it wanted to be. this scene is so beautifully done. it's cinematic.

Rocks and Bottles / Cooper's Dream - these were both great scenes that underlined the more mystical element of the show, one in a comedic way, and one is a surrealist, disturbed way. The Dream Sequence is still one of the strangest moments is tv history.

Don't drink that coffee! - Me and my girlfriend quote the line in this all the time for some reason.

I always like these threads, especially the links. It always gives me good ideas for what to watch next.

Finally, for the whedonites out there, I love the ending of "Out of Gas" when Mal looks back at serenity and just knows it's the ship he wants. it's great.

More Route 66 - this from 1963's "Build Your Houses With Their Backs to the Sea" - starring none other than William Shatner!

Shatner plays Menemsha Faxon, the son of Maine lobster fisherman Thayer (Pat Hingle). Menemsha returns to his hometown after a year’s unexplained absence in an attempt to reconcile with his father and his wife (Louise Sorel, in her screen debut). However, when he discovers traveler Linc Case (Glenn Corbett) working on his father’s boat instead of his beloved brother Robbie, and learns that Robbie died on an earlier expedition, Menemsha loses it. He vows to kill his own father to avenge Robbie’s death. Shatner begins to sabotage his father’s traps, a crime punishable by death in the Maine lobster fishing community, forcing a confrontation between him and his old man. The two finally meet for a showdown on the beach, where each acknowledges his own complicity in Robbie’s death . . . the final scene of this episode here:

I'm just after finishing The Wire so I'm going to nominate its final scene. I thought it was genius how they ended the show by having everything be the same as the beginning, but with most of the characters shuffled around.
