After 15 years, I'm back! And I have so many questions! (and RIP to DEA)

I'm back! I hope TBonz doesn't still hate me.

I just found out about poor DEA (and Tamar). That's too bad. His obituary really made it seem like he had a hard life the last few years. I'm really sorry I gave him such a hard time when he was an admin. If I could take it back, I would. Same goes for all the people I use to hassle, even TBonz! Man, I was insufferable. No wonder Christian finally had enough of me.

Since you probably don't know me, I was one of the founding members of a site called Trollkingdom. A website formed by a bunch of immature little prats (myself included) after a then-famous Skinofevil incident. We had a little rivalry with Trekbbs that lasted a few years before everyone went there own way. I can't believe somebody is still paying the bills on that site. Oh, when Christian shut down the Andromeda forum I created a new site for that community, but the people I turned it over to ran it into the ground. TBonz use to call me "Lorne" because I had a ezboard (yeah, those were big back in the day) account called "Lorne of the Deathwok Clan" or some shit. The TV show "Angel" was really big at the time.

So how's everyone doing?

I was wondering if anybody remembers or knows what happened to the following people...

Barcode (wasn't it Barcode who leaked the mod forum? I forget.)
Neroon? Didn't he dress up as Harry Potter or something?

I heard Christian is gone now and someone else owns the site? I don't know how things work here anymore. TNZ is filled with threads that have like 900 replies. LoL, what? So explain modern Trekbbs to me.
 
Neroon is still here as a mod. Christian doesn't post here but he still owns the place. A couple of those other ones are members of Wordforge, I think. Don't know about the rest.

Neroon is still a mod after 20 years here? Is that some kind of record? lol. And you know of Wordforge? Did you ever post under another name?
 
Someone owns this? I thought it was just a … thing. I mean, I know there’s ads, but profit never crossed my mind. Hm, the things you learn. I have no problem w profit by the way. Or lace.

Oh... I was banned, hard. By Christian himself. Probably between 2001 and 2003. I think I went down the same time as Captain Decker. There was an announcement thread about it, but it looks like it's been removed. I don't remember a whole lot of people getting banned before that. Christian did a whole Q&A about our bannings in that thread. I think that's when he finally had enough with Trollkingdom. I wonder if I could find that thread with the Wayback Machine? We use to ride Christian pretty hard. I remember we mercilessly teased him about buying a new Xbox and DVD Collection right after he started asking for donations for the site.

Anyway... surely 15 to 20 years has to be enough punishment for my jokes.

Well, I can't find my banning thread. If anyone has a better way to search the announcement forum in the Wayback Machine then let me know. Christian had the forum to default to only showing like two days worth of threads, so I think a lot didn't get archived.

OMG Really??????? I LOVED Dennis Bailey! I had no idea that he is now Serveaux!!!!!

I’m not sure where where’sSaavik is or The Lone Ensign.

There is one poster in particular that I miss who is not showing up, he was very low key but a major player in the lounges all those years ago… Admiral Electron. Forgot about him for a while but he has come to mind recently. I have a massive list of MIA users here, I have tried to message some over the years but I think they just ‘went somewhere else’. Every now and again I hear from a blast from the past though which is great.

I tried looking through the internet archive but couldn't find Temis's old avatars.

On another note, an internet post of Temis' is quoted in at least one academic work on television content.

Someone could make a pixel art gallery out of all of Temis’ old avatar’s. I guess that they are all lost to history though now. I saved one above though at least. We could make this a new game… who can find the most lost Temis the Vorta avatar artworks. Someone might decide to monetise them though and auction them off as ‘digital art’, they are after all now quite rare, highly sort after and definitely… classics :D
