JJ was on the Opie & Anthony Show today during the CBS portion of their show. (That's within the first 3 hours for you non O&A types) If you have XM Satellite Radio, you can catch a replay starting at 3pm. They talked Cloverfield, Lost and, of course, Star Trek. There wasn't much Trek convo or anything revealing but it was interesting afterwards to listen to the bbbboys discuss the casting and the upcoming movie. I'll update if they post the interview on Foundrymusic.com.

opie and anthony are true talents and i respect and admire their work. anthony almost sounds like a trekkie and the praise for jj's casting weas most respectful. rock on trek and o&a.

I agree with Moonman. Anthony sounds like a total Trekkie, though Opie was just mining for a movie role. O&A always do great interviews and don't resort to asking lowbrow questions like if JJ has seen Uhura naked. Hoo Hoo!

I have never listened to Opie and Anthony. I know nothing about them. But I dislike them, because Howard Stern tells me to.

Used to be a big Stern fan (not so much now that he's on Sirius, his show is just one big poopy joke with a triple topping of gayness thrown in). I listened to O&A because they were on in the afternoon (WNEW,NY). I would hear bits and routines that I heard on Sterns' show 3 years before. As for O&A, Stern was right, they are copiers and not as funny as Stern WAS.

I don't listen to either one. Howard Stern in particular is definitely a 'guy show' in any event.
But I do like anyone who makes a point of blasting the religious right out of their comfort zones.

They're both fun shows to listen to. There's no real reason why we can't at least allow them to co-exist.
