The second real A-Team trailer is better by far then either of the above.

Although that dream cast from the fake trailer would have been fun to watch.

I believe the real one looks better, but the fake one looks like a lot of fun, too.

When The A-Team was first announced I had a feeling they'd try to cast Clooney and Pitt and am so very glad they didn't. It almost would've been expected.
Those two guys (Clooney and Pitt) just provide too much smugness for my taste. The real cast works much better.

The Orange one annoys me if I'm honest. I've loved pretty much all the Orange ads, but I think spoofing somewhat fading stars in relation to make believe pitches is different from making a joke about a real film, I just find it jarring.

I think the fake one looks more fun than the real one, but can you imagine the ego clash with a cast like that. Don't see Clooney as Hannibal either, I'd replace him with Mel Gibson...

Going to be very interesting to see Liam Neeson's take on Colonel Smith.

To be fair, if there's going to be product placement in return for investment I'd rather see it done that way than the crappy "Force our products in to the film" way you often get.

While I have nothing againt the cast in the real film I have to admit the fake one probably has the perfect cast ;)

Fair point!

Casting of the fake one is inspired. Clooney has that same mix of irreverence, charm and, when needed, gravitas that George Peppard brought to the role.

I'm thinking Jim Carrey as Murdock would have been a hoot too, (although it's equally possible that he would have been so far over the top to the point of ruining the character.)

Count me in on the "Would have liked Mel Gibson in the Hannibal role" group.

the fake one looks shit and has a shit version of the theme. it probably doesn't help that i can spot clips from Meet Joe Black, Mr and Mrs Smith, Ace Ventura, Three Kings and Burn After Reading in it.

Jim Carrey is a good actor, he could have pulled off Murdock... ten years ago, and if he agreed not to do the Dumb & Dumber and Ace Ventura style, but the softer... well, Dwight Schultz style. I think Michael Weatherly - NCIS's Tony Dinozo - would have been perfect as Face. And in 15 years, he would be perfect for Hannibal, because he looks a bit like George Peppard.

I don't care what people on the internet say, I think the new A-Team movie looks great, particularly the 2nd trailer:

I particularly like B.A., he's faithful to Mr. T without being a complete parody. The character dynamics seem to have more or less survived intact. I like it!

The fake one has a good cast but the execution could use some work. The theme song sounds like a strange hybrid between A-Team and Red Dwarf(!).
