Spoilers A new TARDIS passenger

If The Doc went back in time and saved the cat from The Boondocks Saints just in the nick of time, I would be eternally grateful.

They only mention there is allegedly a cat in episode 1. Nothing about it being a companion- and there have been cats in previous episodes. (Survival, Fear Her, etc) So... so what?

Well, I guess.. yea.. But if it is hanging out in the TARDIS.. Then that's something New. That would be a thing. A kind of milestone of sorts. Until then only a K-9 has been in the TARDIS as a pet (books and Audios aside). A Feline in the TARDIS seems small potatoes, but it is a difference.

Cat you say?

The only cat I'd want to see in the TARDIS is Jonesy from Alien. He'd be a good fit since he's already used to aliens. And since Ripley left him behind in Aliens and never came back, he'd be looking for a new home.

Agreed! Although, wasn't Frobisher a shapeshifter anyway? So maybe it is Frobisher and the boys in accounting told them that cats are cheaper to film than penguins? :p

Lol, well unless they did Frobisher as a robotic Penguin, it would be very expensive to do CGI with him as a companion, tho I would love Frobisher to be in New who. well I guess an actor could play him with electronic head gear for facial expressions, remember there was a Howard the duck movie, and special effects tech has come along way since then. He would be an excellent alien companion. Imagine the twists and turns story wise.

Tho I am nervous about Chibnall's supposed 2 year plan, or gaps between series. Or at the least 18 months again. I think making the series take longer to debut each year would put a lot of fans off. Many may forget the show is coming on. How many fans may be off on other things not knowing to look at for the new series??

I was not aware of any such rumours. I know Chibnall wanted a break between finishing Broadchurch and starting Doctor Who, which is why we had the situation of the 2016 gap year and why Moffat came back for a 2017 season. But I've seen no indication Chibnall intends any other gaps on his watch.

I wouldn't sweat it. As already proven in this thread, starsuperion is unreliable when it comes to any kind of news for the show.

Yes because 1 single thread paints a picture overall. Sure.. And as far as the 2 years thing, Chibnall stated he would like that or 18 months, as with Capaldi, because Chibnall wants to produce the best show. Quality over quantity is apparently what he said.

There are even articles all over the web discussing the show times. One article says to even keep a watchful eye on the Doctor who series schedule also stating you could miss the show. These concerns I have are warranted in light of such news.

It's not just this thread. It's only the most recent example.

Even if it wasn't, you demonstrated in this thread the inability to recognize unverified information as unreliable and then presented such information as actual news.

What articles? Who said it? When? In what context?

Prolific articles means nothing if those sources are unverifiable. Just because the internet says it's true, doesn't mean it's true.

I've done two Google searches now for anything including terms Chris Chibnall, Doctor Who, two year gap between seasons, eighteen month gap between seasons and nothing turns up. I've even searched "Chris Chibnall, Doctor Who, quality over quantity" and nothing shows up.

So what is it?

Yup. :) Frobisher was only in the comics, unfortunately.
