A loss in our community

It is a sad thing to report that we have lost one of our own this morning. Vanguard, the creator of the Jaynz Ship Part Kits had a massive stroke on Friday morning, and passed away this morning. I was a fan of his for years, and was lucky to meet him on Facebook and continue talking about various thing from politics to Star Trek. He was passionate in his beliefs, his work, and more importantly his family. I am proud to have known him, and would ask that you keep his family in your thoughts as they deal with this horrific loss. See you on the other side Vanguard.

I couldn't find any posts by that name. There is a Vanguard listed as a member but was last seen in 2007 but no post history. Maybe the posts didn't make the transfer to the new board.

Edit: Looks like he went by "Vance" in these forums, not "Vanguard" - either way, sorry to hear about his passing.

I wanna say I remember a Vanguard and am sorry to hear, whichever username it was.

Vance has been active recently and a major loss to the creative community if it is him.

I'm saddened to hear about this. Vance often posted in Trek Tech as well, and while he occasionally lost his temper he contributed a lot of good stuff. RIP

I was so moved by everything he did, that I created a ship in his honor! I named her the USS Churchill, But she's been given a new name and Registry, USS Vance, NCC- 6-2016.. having photobucket issues, will be back soon to link pics

No man is an island, alone to himself. Each is a peninsula ...apart of the whole. We are all diminished by his passing.

So y'all we had two losses, not to detract from Vance passing, But I lost my little muse JJ, my little minpin took his last breath on Saturday.. Today I buried him in a grove of pine trees with lots of sticks and rocks for him to play with.. He was my inspiration, he was 13 and had a good long life.

My condolences as well. I haven't kept up with him or the Trek Art Forum as much as I used to, but his was art I remember enjoying even when I thought I'd have done things differently. How can I find his work here or elsewhere?
