A case for big cars/trucks

You made the whole thing up...not your wife.

If he made the whole thing up it at least served for good safe vehicle conversation.
If he did not make it up what a shame to down play a family's tragedy.
I will say from that signature line he is used to spreading lies.

I could not have been more truthful. It was horrible. In fact, I couldn't have cared less if the vehicle was totaled. I just am glad my family was protected.

And there's no need to freak out about my signature line. If you don't believe in God then simply don't comment on it.

I'm glad your family is okay, but using this incident to back up your personal agenda is in poor taste, and it's a weak argument anyway.

I know when my family undergoes a traumatic event, my thoughts immediately turn to how I can exploit it to score political points on an internet forum.

One time we were involved in an accident that involved three F-150's (one of them was our truck) and one F-350. Just a bit of a fender-bender, that's all. No one was hurt though my dad and my brother got a little beat up by the airbags.

I shudder to think what would happen if I wrecked my Versa. I already came close once (couldn't see a damn thing through the fog, took the wrong exit, flew through a t-intersection... ALMOST hit a fence.)

You ever driven in heavy fog?

Couple of times, but I try and avoid it. Driving slowly and paying attention it still might be possible to take a wrong exit, but "flying through an intersection" and "almost hitting a fence" suggests to be a lack of driving skill -even given the extreme conditions- and that maybe she was dirivng too fast for the conditions. Otherwise she wouldn't have "almost flown" through that intersection but "almost coasted" through it.

Driving in fog is difficult but if you drive right it can be done with a considerable degree of safety and without the streak of fail outlined in that post.

^Amen to that

And I guess each one to their own. Was actually a big study recently that showed that only about 3 out of 20 SUVs models currentl avaible in the US was as safe as could be. Of the others a lot had problems with roof caing in if they flipped

In any case I'm glad to hear no one got hurt.

i went to a car show in Albu today and got to drive the new Camaro
No really? I saw the pic in the picture thread but you really got to drive it? I saw that it was the SS, but was it autimatic or Manual? How was the handling? How what the sound? Details man!

Please, get off the road.

So, your issue at this time isn't so much with how she drove, but how she described how she drove...

You are telling her to get off the road because of a word she used in recounting a story?:vulcan:

I'm telling her to get off the road because, according to how she wrote her story, she's not a very safe driver.

This will end well.

It's science dude. Old story, but relevant: http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/19980516133725data_trunc_sys.shtml
