Robin Curtis explicitly mentioned that line from the early script. It's obvious they were playing on that abandoned idea about Saavik conceiving a child during the Genesis incident.

Exactly. Also, Picard mentions that a son of Sarek got married, since Sybok is probably still dead that can only be Spock or some unknown mystery sibling (again?!).
Could have been Spock and Saavik. But that would mean that Spock waited around 40 years to marry her. My theory is that Sarek remarried after Amanda died, and had a younger son, who married soon upon reaching maturity. Though that's probably not what the TNG writers had in mind. It simply makes more sense to me.
765847: Unification is the the fan film that inspired a fan film! Dedicated to OTOY and the Roddenberry archive, Prologue to Unification attempts to tell a story that fills in some of the blanks of the OTOY film. They seem to have given Yor the role meant for Kelvin Colt, which was disappointing, but the tale is meant to be open to interpretation. 
Frankly, it's just ok, but the idea that a tribute fan film inspired its own tribute fan film just kind of tickles me in a way. It certainly confirms that many an imagination has been fired up by Unification.

At the risk of sounding harsh, I think that's being kind to it.
Generally, I salute the effort but I can't help shake the feeling of them glomming on. I know that's inherent in a fan film anyway, but...y'know.
If anything, I think it highlights that the "no hard exposition" approach that OTOY Unification took was the right one.
